I still need to buy a new mouse. My MX518 keeps disconnecting when I try to use it so I'm currently using a crappy Dell mouse until I replace it.
one of Logitech's mice that are covered in buttons I'll never use
I really like having those extra buttons on a mouse. I find for random programs, it's quite awesome. For example, when I have MS Paint open, I had various binds like having buttons to change the brush size (Ctrl + Plus/Minus.) Really miss them on this shit Dell mouse. I never use them in games though. Dunno why.

Take a hair dryer and heat the mousefeet, then slowly pry under with a blade 2. Unscrew bottom of mouse and pop it off 3. Shift the cable back an inch or two 4. Reassemble mouse and test for function 5. If not working, cut the cable and splice it where the 90 degree bend is 6. Test for function and reassemble mouse, stick mousefeet back on
If that doesn't work, what would be a good wired mouse (preferably Logitech) to get that's similar to the MX518?
I bought me one of them Sculpt Ergonomic mice. They're awesome. Fits well in my massive hand and having a Windows key right there on my mouse is hella nice.
I have the similar Sculpt Comfort mouse, and it's everything I would ever want out of a mouse. Bluetooth so I don't have to worry about losing a tiny USB receiver, comfortable to hold and use, excellent battery life, and it has some pretty good weight to it. Not to mention the Windows button acts as a back/forwards button when you swipe over it.
considering that cryptolocker servers just got shut down by the world police
When did this happen?
When did this happen?
Quite recently http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/06/02/nca_gameoverzeus_cryptolocker_warning/
If that doesn't work, what would be a good wired mouse (preferably Logitech) to get that's similar to the MX518?
G400 is the direct successor to the MX518 G500 is a slight improvement in some areas G700 is a mouse that works wired/wireless and has a similar shape
Just today i was wondering where ball mouse tech would be now if we hadn't turned to lasers/LEDs, how wonderfully mildly on topic
Just today i was wondering where ball mouse tech would be now if we hadn't turned to lasers/LEDs, how wonderfully mildly on topic
How much have trackball mice improved over time?

I was going to install Mavericks on my computer today. Turns out my motherboard is at the point of being so bad it doesn't support AHCI. Wasted half my day on that. Anyone recommend any decent motherboards that support AHCI but won't break the bank? Also gotta be micro-atx.

Also, can you even easily change the motherboard in a Mac without it fucking everything up?
What socket? Also, can you even easily change the motherboard in a Mac without it fucking everything up?
I'm guessing he's talking about a Hackintosh.
Ah, yes, AM3. And it's not a Mac.
Now I wonder if even the NSA can't decrypt files affected by the Cryptolocker trojan.
not without the private keys
AM3 and Hackintosh is usually a no-go, or at least needs a LOT of work, I had pretty much the recommend combo, (Gigabyte H77N-WIFI, i3-3225), and it still required some farting about to get it to work properly. It's tricky enough getting it working properly on most intel boards.
It's really hard to set up if you don't have an actual Mac handy.
Yeah, the time I did it I had a friend bring his MBP round, and we used the Mountain Lion downloaded from the App Store. That said, if you can legally acquire the install image, you can use a VM to run OSX to create the bootable media.
It's really hard to set up if you don't have an actual Mac handy.
My brother's got a Macbook, so it should make things a little easier.
I just found a brand new 1st gen Logitech G15 on Craigslist for $40. Buy?
As long as it comes preinstalled with cumstains.
As long as it comes preinstalled with cumstains.
Fuck yeah it does why else would I even consider it. I thought that was implied.
Uh... so I'm pretty sure centurylink is throttling my access to google music...
How do I force supersampling through my drivers, again? I want to test 4k on my laptop.
How do I force supersampling through my drivers, again? I want to test 4k on my laptop.
nvidia control panel. heard it was a lot harder to force it via AMD, but can't really speak for that as I never tried myself
Some displays won't allow it. Even if you do GPU scaling, it just won't allow it. I can do 4k on my side monitors, but not my main 30.
Uh... so I'm pretty sure centurylink is throttling my access to google music...
Yeeaaaahhhh centurylink is fucking with my access to google music. Music freezes on... - Desktop, chrome firefox and IE - Laptop, chrome and firefox - Ubuntu Laptop, chrome and firefox
