Got my new lens today to replace the broken ones woo
fist bump Great little lens, as much as I wish I could zoom in a bit closer sometimes.
Two months left until I can get a new phone. Woo.
fist bump Great little lens, as much as I wish I could zoom in a bit closer sometimes.
if you want another cheap lens for a d3xxx, take a look at the 50mm 1.8d. great optics for the relatively miniscule pricepoint
The NAT detection in Watch_Dogs fails and refuses to let you online, if you're not behind NAT.
if you want another cheap lens for a d3xxx, take a look at the 50mm 1.8d. great optics for the relatively miniscule pricepoint
I'm not a huge fan of using 50mm on APS-C cameras. It's too telephoto to be considered a "normal" lens.
That's the thing - I can bang on that keyboard all day, as long as whatever I'm typing doesn't make the screen change too much in one frame. And I can alt-tab as much as I want if both programs are on an external monitor. It seems to be dependent on how much screen content changes. Which is really fucking weird.
Try setting the refresh rate to 30hz and see what happens?
I'm not a huge fan of using 50mm on APS-C cameras. It's too telephoto to be considered a "normal" lens.
That's what I said, but I'm still getting one because fuck it, it's a cheap f1.8 lens Plus I have to spend these stupid gift cards before they expire :v: [editline]4th June 2014[/editline] Plus, if I wanted the 1.6x equivalent (around 30mm), the cheapest one is a $380 Sigma, which apparently has a bad reputation for having miscalibrated autofocus
my jolla has a single slightly bright pixel. not bad enough to justify a 3 week repair from Finland though.
My Jolla has a dim spot on the front-facing camera. No other issues, though. Got Play Store finally running on it, too.
So, I've been offered a phaser 7300 printer if I want it for free. Apparently a toner cartridge exploded in it and that's all that was wrong with it. It worked perfectly before that apparently and produces massive streaks because toner is everywhere now. Apparently they go for around 800 refurbished. uhhhhhhhhh. Are S5's suppose to have a purple trail on black boxes moving across a grey background? specifically a #000 box on a #292929 background
My old Asus G53SW did that, but the LCD lines were mostly constant and based on the color content of the screen. If you slam the base of the computer and it fixes itself, then it may be as mentioned above loose LCD cable. Take the PC apart and remove the LCD cable from both sides, clean with alcohol, firmly reattach with tape.
That'll upset the hdd (if he has one) I'd say it's the screen itself.
I didn't know anybody else here had one!
I've had one for a few months. Since March, I think. It's a really nice thing. What a shame I still have to use so many Android apps.
uhhhhhhhhh. Are S5's suppose to have a purple trail on black boxes moving across a grey background? specifically a #000 box on a #292929 background
Happens on my S4.
FFS the radio of my Galaxy i9000 is shitting the bed, I have to call people like 2 or 3 times to get a stable connection now. I don't want to shell out money for a new phone.
i've noticed everyone is breaking/damaging or discovering damage on their phones this month, what the hell are you guys doing :v:
It's finally warm. Verizon replafed it for free.
I now have my old WRT54GL running latest Tomato hooked up to the ADSL2+ modem, the WAN port on the WRT54GL just gets a direct IP address to the Internet with DHCP from the modem. This is brilliant.
I'm not a huge fan of using 50mm on APS-C cameras. It's too telephoto to be considered a "normal" lens.
Then you're better off with a wide zoom lens
http://unchecky.com/
This should be required on all teachers laptops, the horrors I've seen when they pull their work laptops up to do a presentation :v: [editline]My clearing in the woods was trembling like jelly. He munched on my hairy goblet, even though I'd been riding the cotton pony for the best part of a week. The slamming makes me spout my flange custard all over his jebend. Hours of fucking like this would leave any girl's meaty hangers looking like an over inflated dinghy, and I was no different! With my fishy flaps now much like Terry Waite's allotment, he thought it was time to start shoving my shit winker. Is now the time to tell him I really need to launch a sewer trout, I wondered?[/editline] I mean every Windows computer ever*
So here's an interesting computer problem. My laptop screen is fucking up. It will sometimes blink out, either to a black or white screen. Often when I start it it's like that, and it will often do so again later on. I can temporarily fix it by fiddling with the screen, generally either pinching one of the edges, or by twisting it (push top-right corner away, pull top-left corner closer). I'm pretty sure it's a loose or frayed wire, but I haven't cracked it open yet to fix it. The weirdest thing is that I seem to be able to trigger it through software. For one, it seems to reliably happen when I switch to a new window or tab. It's not every time, but blinking to black seems to happen most often immediately after an alt-tab or ctrl-tab. Or something else that causes a full screen redraw - launching a new program, or sometimes just opening a new webpage. Also, sometime dark horizontal lines will appear, like the backlight is going out or something. But those lines scroll with program content - even though they can go outside the current window. And even if I scroll down far enough for it to be off-screen, it reappears in the same place when I scroll back up. However, it is definitely a hardware problem. I can reliably (100%) make it go to the white screen by torquing the screen the "wrong" way, and I can only "fix" it by hardware means (even a hard power cycle does not work). This has been going on for a few months now, I just haven't been assed to do anything about it. It's really getting bad, though, so I'll probably crack it open tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully I just need to reconnect some stuff - a replacement video cable isn't too expensive, but a replacement LCD is kind of steep. Before anyone says it, I have NEVER held the laptop by the screen, mostly because it's so flimsy it would snap. I think it's happened because I usually grab the laptop, when closed, by the side, so I'm squeezing the rim of the display (it's a 9-pound laptop, I need a solid grip on it). So yeah, more shitty design from Asus.
Update: The operation was a complete success. I will be keeping it under observation, but it seems to be fixed. All I did was open up the display case, unplug two flat cables, then plug them back in. Neither seemed to be unplugged, nor did they seem to have any break in them. It is noteworthy, though, that one of those cables (labelled "VCC") went right along the right edge of the display, so pushing/pinching that edge could plausibly have been affecting it. The main cable is at the center bottom, though, so it doesn't seem to be related. Additional bonus: I managed to not lose a single one of the 24 screws involved. That's gotta be some sort of record.
Maybe the loose cable is a digital signal of some sort, and doesn't "update" when nothing is moving. A lot of change puts stress on the cable. Or the computer magic is malfunctioning.
Yeah, I think some of the magic smoke was getting stale. I temporarily re-routed the exhaust manifold into the display to recharge the smoke. In honesty, I suspect ECC may have been involved, or maybe some weird EM interference. But this problem was just so fucking weird, I have no clue how it was actually breaking, just which parts seemed to be causing it. That's why I posted this here - I didn't need help with the diagnostic or the fix, I was just posting a really, really weird problem I was having.
Pepper;44990095']That'll upset the hdd (if he has one) I'd say it's the screen itself.
Yes, I do have an HDD - the G75 has two 2.5" bays, so I have an SSD and an HDD. Which is actually pretty fucking awesome in a laptop. And yes, that was a stupid suggestion that would have done nothing but wipe out my [del]Steam[/del] [del]porn[/del] Linux ISO collection, and maybe the subwoofer.
AMOLED is great, Samsung just fucking suck. miscalibrated pentile junk.
So in another word, AMOLED isn't great
Refund processed. Charred bits cut off of ESCs. Soldering hack to fix ESCs (WARNING! Hack may cause minor fire hazard!) New controller ordered. Soon my quad-copter will fly.
It's nice to be ignorant of AMOLED because my S4's screen looks great.
I burnt out my radio due to 40+ gigs a month of tethering when I didn't have an Internet connection for 4 months. Verizon replafed it for free.
Damn, didn't know that was possible. I don't think I go through quite that much though.
http://www.420wireless.com/ So that's a thing.
What. Why?
ACPI is reporting 0.00% battery on my laptop now, and I'm posting with it. I like to live dangerous.
