Wow.
Also, people snatching other peoples laptops and set a BIOS password, that gets asked for every time you boot, Which the victim of course doesen't know. People in this school are not really the most kind people when it comes to fucking with other peoples stuff. Sometimes they are like "Hurr durr someone stole your laptop battery lel" [editline]5th June 2014[/editline] Other fun stuff includes stealing mouse receivers from Wireless mouses, and unplugging network / powecables if someone is doing something important. Teachers don't really give a shit either. In one course someone shut off my laptop while doing updates by holding the power button while I was away, resulting in a broken windows. I noticed and threw a chair in his face. The teacher was just ignoring all of it, while moving on with the class.
If I were going to college I would put a BIOS password on my own machine right from the beginning, as well as enable PW on wake and setting a very short sleep timer.
if I had gone to college, I would have just bolted my laptop to a table, done a full disk encryption and a BIOS password
I really need to sort out full disk encryption on my Surface but do not trust BitLocker one single bit.
I used truecrypt on my laptop, by enabling csm and then just install Windows 8 as usual (non-UEFI) and use truecrypt to FDE the harddisk like normal. [editline]5th June 2014[/editline] I still can't get used to UEFI. I can't even get an USB stick to boot 80% of the time.
i wonder with anyone with a 1440p res and has sniper elite v2 i wonder how much super sampling would occur when its set to 4x?
it would render at 5120x2880.

Works pretty good.

Your arm might be secured to it, but the device sure isn't.

Stuff includes taking apart your phone (taking the battery out, Sim card), your laptop (take out battery, if you're really out they just take apart the whole thing and lay it on your table, or take out your ram, hard drive) but nothing too major like fucking with your laptop while it's updating or breaking much things.
oh okay our firewall isn't that advanced, can only see total usage wireshark freezes after using ~10gb of ram, not really feasible
Get a small Linux box set up, and you can use tcpdump to capture the traffic, then read the files it spits out in Wireshark. It supports segmenting files by size and time, so it shouldn't be too resource heavy (besides disk space).
i never took my laptop to school or tafe ever
Jeez, that n64 stick i ordered over a month ago arrived, I totally forgot about it. And from just poking on it, it feels pretty shit. Oh well, it was only like £2
Anyone else who's been receiving a ton of Linkedin invites during the last eight hours even if you don't have a Linkedin account? I have already received about 48 invites and they just keep on coming, not that I mind since Gmail filters them out of my view.

Takes a couple tools to do, but it's a nice thing to have for the absent minded folks.
Does v2 consider total pixels or dimensions?
there are two options for ss in the menu 2.25x and 4x. the only reasonable result of those is width*1.5, height*1.5 and w*2,h*2.
[t]http://p63.imgup.net/Anti-Surgec321.png[/t] PC looses power every time I start a game that needs a lot of resources like BF4 and then shows this error. I'm guessing my PSU is dying, it's been in this system for like 5 years.
Its cool that your motherboard does that.
I think all newer asus boards have it. Mine does that if i pull the power lead/flip the main power switch while it's still running.
It's the first time I've ever seen that message and I thought it was p cool too but when I googled it there were people everywhere saying that it's actually really shitty and often triggers at the wrong time, so I should just disable it. I don't trust those people... :v:

So, I'm actually doing some research right now regarding my current PSU and found someone on an amazon review saying that both 12V rails combined can deliver a maximum of about 280W, with the whole PSU being rated at 550W, while my GTX770's TDP is 230W. That combined with the fact that the thing has seen better days and the summer coming down hard here in Germany I can see why it could crash when firing up some GPU-heavy tasks. While shopping for a new one I found the Corsair VS650, which has everything I need for a pretty low price. Thoughts?
I had the exact same problem with mine, but my computer was new. disable the ASUS anti-surge in the bios, it tends to be rather trigger happy for no reason
Just tried that, still shutting down, just without the error message afterwards. So I guess it has to be the PSU's fault.
YOUTUBE ADDED AN OPTION TO NOT ASK AGAIN WHICH ACCOUNT I WANT TO USE PRAISE THE LORD
I thought the same. But I haven't been able to log into any of my partnered youtube accounts for the last 12 hours. I did a bunch of metadata optimizing last night so I wanted to check any changes.
