A good web app that works well on touch screens take quite some time to make.
not really unless you're being an idiot and doing slidey crap, just make a responsive website that behaves like a website. even if you're trying to do touch screen exclusive controls like sliding and such, it's still easier to a web application since you only need to develop it once for every device, possibly with some minor phone specific javascript or CSS. If that wasn't the case, frameworks like Phonegap to create native apps with web development skills wouldn't exist
I saw a fat Starbuck(Katee Sackhoff) at the store today. Her face was a perfect match, but with 3x the body attached.
is the performance even worth mentioning? sure you gain performance but it isn't a big enough to be even worth mentioning.
Sorry? Up to 20% better than the former models. It's exactly what people fucking wanted with Haswell in the first place, are you for real?
So with my new desk, I need a computer case that can sit horizontally on a desktop and fits a full ATX case. Does such a thing exist?
They do but they're really shitty.

Most horizontal cases are made for HTPC's.

Hold the fuck on m8. Silverstone and Fractal Design both make HTPC cases.

Lian Li used to make one too, we've got it in our living room, but I guess they stopped.
so after around an hour of fiddling with windows booting immediately to startup repair and not fixing anything, i just had to reinstall it. my god i am so pissed off.
everyone knows Lian Li is too busy putting computers where they shouldn't be, like inside tables or small trains.

Those cases are awesome if you're into minimalism but otherwise they remind me of embedded devices and hardware controllers.
I found this guy
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163196
Seems big, high quality, and doesn't have a panel on the front covering the USB, so I'm happy. Not so much with the price, but oh well.

Unfortunately HTPC cases are just plain expensive for some reason, presumably a limited supply of actually good ones.
Yeah. Cooler master apparently makes a nice big one:

More of a test bench case but it doesn't look like it couldn't be permanent.

Actually this is perfect
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139022
Not too tall, but still upright and not too fat and awkward. Good enough case to stick on my desktop.
For $100 it's actually kind of nice.
HAHAHA reminds me of SWEFOX i sold my i7 3770k to buy a 4770k i can total tell the difference!
He has done much worse. One time he sold his existing ASUS GTX 780 just so he can buy a different ASUS GTX 780 that comes with a slightly better stock heatsink.
For the price he lost on selling and shipping the card he originally had plus the price difference of the two, he could have bought ANY aftermarket heatsink for it, including waterblocks.

Hey that's the case I was looking at for our HTPC. I'm not sure why it's so expensive as it's essentially a regular ATX case on its side
A friend of mine found a Samsung 1920x1200 display, the only thing wrong with it is the colors fucking up and the bottom half sometimes missing. I bet it could be as simple as a loose ribbon cable, but I'm putting my money on faulty caps. It's from 2008.

What does the letter "a" with a squiggly line going through it mean?
Better yet, what does the letter "a" with a ^ over it mean?

I was going to draw it like that but it looked better forwards
I only upgraded to the 3770k a few years ago because I was already swapping motherboards. Though I might as well. 2600k still would do great.
More of a downgrade imo. Lost dat solder. But really, nowadays if you buy a high end Intel proc, you're good for 3-4 generations.
Cleaned my PC last week I think it was, chunks of dust from the CPU cooler.
Then 10 minutes of prying the cooler off the CPU after CPU got ripped off the motherboard.
After pried off, continue cleaning cooler, then clean both from paste, open the lock to try and insert CPU to find two pins bent.
Spent 30 minutes with pliers or whatever those small things are that you use to extract splinters from fingers and other places (not teeth) trying to straighten it.
Finally got it done, insert CPU, lock it, apply paste, insert cooler.
feels god idling at 40C instead of 60C.
Or was it 40C and 50C?
Eh, anyway.

Thinking of saving money to upgrade from ATi Radeon HD6850, AMD Phenom II x4 955BE to GTX770 and 4770k but I don't think my case (CM Storm Scout) is big enough for the new GPU.
The EVGA and Twin Frozr will fit. The Windforce and DirectCUII are too big
Poop.

Twin Frozr?
[editline]7th June 2014[/editline]
Ah, MSI.
[editline]7th June 2014[/editline]
Would you recommend the 4GB or the 2GB version?

2GB is plenty for 2 monitors so I don't see much of a reason why you'd buy a 4GB one.

Twin Frozr's decent, I have a 760 with it and it doesn't get too loud.
