Twin Frozr?
[editline]7th June 2014[/editline]
Ah, MSI.
[editline]7th June 2014[/editline]
Would you recommend the 4GB or the 2GB version?
[editline]7th June 2014[/editline]
Because writing whole posts and posting everything in one post is for chumps.
2gb. The 4gb is a gimmic. The memory bus width is a bottleneck for it.
Are 120/140mm radiator coolers worth it?
Good fans are always worth it. They last forever and you can reuse them anyway.

Too bad the older ones can cause more noise

Eh I just buy up Yate Loons in packs of 10 from Sidewinder PC (formerly Petra's, aka the most reliable source for yates), fill them with oil and that does it for several years giving them out as PC-building gifts and replacing ones that go bad
They're always good for something
I wish Yate made 140x38mm fans
waited a week in late shipping just for the HDD to be DOA in this build. great
So I graduate High School today and on Monday, I start my IT position at a company in downtown Houston. I am so excited and I honestly feel like an adult now.
I can never tell how common a doa HDD is thanks to the huge amount of people who don't realize you have to initialize it

this is a new build, the drive doesn't show up in UEFI anywhere, it just doesn't power on at all
[editline]7th June 2014[/editline]
the guy i'm building this for is going to be so angry and i know he's going to try take it out on me, even though this is a favour rather than a job :/

i'm a big baby
One second I was filling the Ad-Captcha for a ROM download and the next thing I know I'm looking at Mr. Clean products on their site.
GG, Mr. Clean, GG.
I ordered some Superlux 668Bs, did I fuck up?
Who needs SD cards when you can record with this and VHS tapes?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/LU8Xi8w.jpg[/t]
It still works and it can run on rechargeable batteries that you can still buy
Tell me about the video quality
Well, I've only tried it on our 42" smart TV which makes analog signals look like fucking watercolor art. But it looked very stable and clean apart from that.
Alright, I'm pretty stumped on this S4 I'm given.
I can't root via the methods provided on the net due to what might be Samsung KNOX causing it in a very aggressive way. Last 3 letters on the build number is MK2.

Pfft. Betamax is the superior format. Also get a camera you pleb.

Just look at this amazing quality you can only get from the glorious Betamax.

Speaking of beta, a couple weeks ago I stayed in a house that had these fucking monsters in the attic.

The Sanyo unit caught my eyes especially because of it's looks and size. The Grundig is a Video 2000 VCR, and I didn't even know the Video 2000 format before researching it.
I could probably have gotten any of these had I asked, but I have never even seen a beta tape in person... Also, I bet these things weigh more than a car, and I was far away from home.

I would love you guys for ever if you'd suggest some decent monitors in this poll: https://www.massdrop.com/vote/1440p-ips-display
And vote for the ones worth buying.

Only if you have the intention of watercooling a consumer grade CPU.

And yet, youtube isn't even able to reproduce it fully.

I was maybe gonna use it for my 4670, but maybe I'll save it for when I upgrade in several generations and get an unlocked one. Then I could get a 240mm cooler instead!

There's absolutely no point to watercool an old medium end GPU. It's a huge waste of money.
[editline]7th June 2014[/editline]
There's no point to watercool ANY medium end GPU to be honest, even if it's the latest generation.
https://www.massdrop.com/buy/monoprice-monitor
he asked for decent monitors
he asked for decent monitors
I have the monitor, and it really is pretty damn decent. If at the time there was a namebrand $600 30" 1440p monitor, I wouldn't have gotten it. But $330 27" is pretty damn good, regardless of the quirks here and there (no backlight dimmer wtf)
it's an 'ok' monitor if you don't mind sacrificing build quality and panel consistency with bad calibration on arrival

That's why I said I was going to wait, also this is CPUs not GPUs.
