Anyone know a good ShareX alternative for Linux?
A FP'er made two cool programs called slop and maim which can be used in a script to do something similar.

Huge shout out to Amiga OS, he bought me a Wacom Graphics tablet after I showed interest in his old one out of the kindness of his heart
Thanks dude!
damn. what heatsink do you have?
NH-D14. My 2600k Idled around 45c and loaded around 72c if I remember right.
roughly the same temps here with a 4670k and an nh-d14 with arctic silver 5. it's a fantastic cooler given you have a good chassis fan setup

Your server grew a beard?
Did it say "Hey guys, in this video"
I think the point at which I saw Bell send people angry letters is after 26GB or so. You'd better watch out for the Rogers PR department!

Do you have any other technical questions I could answer?
5:00 PM Gary Chen:
In addition, with my data plan add on, the retentions manager added an unlimited data bonus. Is it truely unlimited or is there some sort of catch or softcap of any kind?
5:01 PM Debbie:
No - for the 3 months it is unlimte, experiment, go wild, try things. learn how you want to use data, then choose a correct plan.
5:02 PM Debbie:
Have a good night.
5:02 PM Gary Chen:
so i can pretty much use several hundred GB of usage if I wanted to
5:03 PM Debbie:
yes
5:03 PM Gary Chen:
may I use my phone as a portable hotspot, known as tethering?
5:03 PM Debbie:
Yes
I probably used around 3GB by now. Not much because I can't get tethering to work... Help

Isn't debbie the one who also said the Nexus 5 wasn't designed for LTE? :v:
Did it say "Hey guys, in this video"
sadly no
but he did say "hey guys, can I get any of you a glass of water while you look over the menu?"
>Talks about servers in the sipwicket thread
>isn't talking about the ones in his closet
Whoa
I thought he was talking about a data server.
Isn't debbie the one who also said the Nexus 5 wasn't designed for LTE? :v:
Yes
4:39 PM Debbie:
The Nexus 5 is not designed as an LTE phone, you will get H+ or 4G speeds, depending on the area and signal strength.
4:41 PM Gary Chen:
are you confusing it with the Nexus 4? The Nexus 5 has LTE bands. More info here: http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_nexus_5-5705.php
4:41 PM Gary Chen:
4G Network LTE 700 / 800 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600
4:41 PM Debbie:
It may have the bands, but it was not enabled - did you buy this phone at a Rogers store?
4:43 PM Gary Chen:
how are the bands not enabled?
4:44 PM Debbie:
The phone is not being recognized on the account as an LTE device, you account is not registered to use LTE.
4:44 PM Gary Chen:
oh, in that case, can you register my account to use LTE?
4:46 PM Debbie:
No - this is automatic, if it was a Rogers purchased phone, the equipment would be added to the account, this is not a Rogers phone, we cannot guarantee the use of LTE>
4:47 PM Gary Chen:
to my knowledge, the Nexus 5 on the Rogers store and on Google Play are the exact same phones, both are unlocked and both should be able to use LTE
4:48 PM Debbie:
The phone may work on LTE, it does not have Rogers firmware, and LTE is more particular than HSPA service.
4:48 PM Gary Chen:
What is this Rogers firmware?
4:49 PM Gary Chen:
Or is it really just the network settings (APN)?
4:49 PM Debbie:
The version of software installed at the factory, The APN settings are a second piece, but the LTE does not work for all unlocked phones.
4:49 PM Debbie:
I do not know - cannot guarantee it will work for you.
Apparently Rogers put something on their Nexus 5 devices...
I thought he was talking about a data server.
I'd be terrified if a server looked like a person.
"The support rep was wrong, we'll file a report. Also, fuck you."
Pretty sure it won't lead to that. If it does, ditch Rogers, write long ass review and throw it to consumer reports websites and TV about the outrage. If anything, the other big carriers would have similar reception and service and speeds. Also ditch other Rogers services.
woah unlimte data
Only lasts for 2 months, getting full LTE speeds although the reception and signal is a lot worse than 3G/HSPA
Unlimited Data For Life*

I wish I had that in Canada where it isn't crappy hspa only on a network that isn't that great in terms of coverage (cough wind mobile). You'll get what you pay for and I may select them when my contract ends.

I just looked at my join date. 4th June 2010!
My 4th anniversary was four days ago.

I like how people react when I show them 31 bit (I'm guilty of when I learnt about it, thought I was getting fucked with)
I like the 30 pin connector. It has dedicated pins for Line In (stereo), Line Out (stereo), Composite video out, S-Video out (chrome and luma pins), USB, firewire and power, so it does do some pretty neat shit that Micro USB can't.
I always wondered how you can use 30 pins for a USB device but really you can just wire the connection for your need. Now I feel stupid.

Help
What the fuck, my Dev machine came back online right now.
[editline]8th June 2014[/editline]
It was offline for a few days, but for some reason came back online. It's doing Windows updates.
I ordered some Superlux 668Bs, did I fuck up?
They're amazing headphones. Head them for two or three years, can't complain.
Alright, so it's reporting it's online and it's frozen on Windows Update.
Trying to do a file transfer shows the remote is unresponsive.
