A change in company policy. You're now paid in EABUCKS! Redeemable at the wonderful Origin marketplace.

While they were absolutely a last minute hackjob, it sort of makes sense in context for a slim parkouring gal to not be able to handle anything bigger than a handgun effectively. The guns feel like crap because you're not supposed to be using them.

What does the letter "a" with a squiggly line going through it mean?
Better yet, what does the letter "a" with a ^ over it mean?
late reply but these are correction marks. the "a" with ^ above it means "insert an 'a' here", the "a" with a looped line over it means "remove this stray 'a'". though i'm not sure why anyone would need to correct typed text when you can just backspace/delete.

Does desodering the mini usb port and puting one of these

On in place.
I've never tried anything like this so I'd like to double check, the mini usb port on my keyboard died and I need to replace it.
It's already confirmed to be a prequel
wait didn't they say it was a different universe or something
I ended up getting the Corsair Air 540.
It's a great case. Holy hell. Sits on my new desk very well. Oh yeah, did I mention I set up my new desk? It's badass.
I'm very happy right now. Got to blow $100 on Ikea additions to my new desk. Pictures to come later.
For now, new temps:

A solid 5 degrees less than what I was getting!
"Because our ego still isn't big enough, we're going to pad ourselves on our backs even more by putting up 30 copies of BF4 on the walls of the display room just to remind us how awesome we are"
That actually a store where you can buy ea games cheap if you work there. My friend got me bf4 + premium for 20€ on launch.

So they're Insert/Delete keys with fancy graphics?
I'm planning to do a ~$2k computer build around August/September this year. I plan on having this last 3-5 years.
Bit of background:
I built my last (gaming) desktop back in '09, i7 920 - GTX275 build. I used it for 3 years, and now my brother's using it (after a GTX660 upgrade some time ago). I expect it to last another 2 years if not more.
I'm currently using a MSI GT60 (i7 3610QM - GTX670M) with a 240GB SSD and a 750GB HDD. Although it's bulky/heavy for school use, I do enough CAD/high performance computing to justify it.
What I have:
Keyboard: I have a nice Ducky, not of interest.
Mouse: I'll get something fancy when I feel like it.
Desk/Mousepad/Chair: I have.
Important parts I have:
Monitor: ASUS PB278Q - 2560x1440 @ 60Hz
Fileserver:
HDDs: 6TB of RAID5 storage, accessible via samba through Gigabit Ethernet. (It also runs plex, utorrent, sickbeard, etc). FYI, this is always-on.
So, my list of decisions:
To wait for Broadwell? (This is very tempting, as videocards and harddrives can be easily upgraded, CPU/mobo not so much)
780, 780Ti, or wait for 880? (I plan to SLI within 1.5 years OR upgrade after 3-4 years)
Do I need a HDD? I'm planning on a 500GB SSD; and with my fileserver literally right beside this one, I'm don't think I need much more storage.
Just tried the in-home streaming feature on Steam.
It actually works rather well on my shitty 4G modem (one of the netgear ones with wi-fi on them) which drops the connection at the drop of a hat.
home from my it exam
i had to write c code
on a sheet of paper

Hand written IT/Programming exams are the worst
Not just because you're writing shit that should be typed, but because my handwriting is a method of torturing linguists

well my english handwriting is tolerable
my russian tho
literally every teacher insulted it when i moved up a class
i saw a 2nd grader (8 years old) write better than me ;_;
Been spending 2 days trying to find an old game from my childhood. The problem is, i barely remember anything from it.
I believe i played it on a pc running win98, it had something to do with a ship (i believe it was just a single one) and for some reason it frequently played a sound similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qGJ-44G16Q (1:11 and 1:17).
I hate my foggy memory.
I write like a 3rd grader. Sometimes I even capitalize randomly, or skip some letters because my brain goes too fast for my handwriting.
Can I hire you guys to write capcha's for my site?
My handwriting depends on stress levels.
Example 1: Not too much stress

Example 2: All the stress

I don't tend to read my notes anyway (some exceptions). I mainly write as a way to remember better. But they come in handy sometimes

I can start an essay and have perfectly legible handwriting
10 minutes before the end, it's crazy
Apparently it's worse with exchange students though, uni teachers have had to mark essays that've been okay English, then 3/4 through suddenly changes to Chinese :v:

Had a Japanese exchange student next to me during one of my exams. While i tried to remember what config file went where in a Linux system, she was doing some kind of high level physics shit in Japanese (friend who also is good at high level math shit verified after)
Looked very daunting

Woah, you even write sideways?
[editline]9th June 2014[/editline]
Seriously though, I can never go back to handwriting notes. It seems so....grade-school like.

The only handwritten notes I make are GM plot notes for D&D, and I only handwrite those because I use a constructed alphabet to keep players from being able to read them, and it's really hard to make a custom font for that.
I don't know why it turned out like that. Only happens sometimes.

Writing by hand is outdated. Hell, writing on a smartphone is something I'd much rather be better at.

I find notes largely useless in college since homework assignments are comprehensive enough to cover everything, the internet has enough reference material, and teachers usually have lecture notes anyway, which you want to study because lecture notes are basically "here's shit that's going to be on your midterm."
