um [editline]14th June 2014[/editline] why is this all over the previous page
That's what you get for using a shitty image host made by some lonely guy with an obsession for wolfgirls.
Make your own! And the category is really all that matters
Gonna be getting cat5 or cat5e. Need it short notice like for the next day. I'd make my own but I don't have the materials yet and this is just for this one occasion too. I would be getting one from Canada computers for like $9 instead of going to future shop for $35. [editline]15th June 2014[/editline]
Ironically, on short notice, I tend to go to Menards (a midwest home improvement store) for ethernet cable. I got 100' of CAT5e for like 20 bucks (its the raw cable, the stuff you would run through walls in your house with no jacks). You'll also need a crimper and a pack of ethernet jacks. IMO, its much more cost efficient just to make your own cable. You get any length you want, its cheaper to buy the cable in bulk, and you can replace connectors on existing cables. Its really handy when the locking tab breaks or gets weak so you don't have to get rid of old ones unless the cable itself is destroyed. So check someplace like Home Depot or whatever you have that's similar in Canada.
I plan on making my own eventually but I don't have the materials for it to now.
This is a job posting. I hate this universe.

Especially now that its Sunday. Pay up for the cable from stores that are open, or buy some tools and materials to make your own. You can't really be choosy on short notice. I would rather buy the equipment now though if you are going to spend that much. The initial investment will be a little higher, but you'll save buttloads of time and money in the long run. Its not like RJ-45 is disappearing anytime soon.
So apart from Desktop/Laptop/Home Server/Monitor/Mouse/KB/Primary Phone What other technological devices, accessories or peripherals do you guys use often or consider are necessary/useful, and why? Be it some sort of cable, or tablet, or android stuff or whatever.
A hammer

This job was really a last minute odd job I was dragged into. That and I'm not the one paying for the cable but I still want to save the person money. Think of it as preventing someone from buying monster cable or beats audio, instead getting something a lot cheaper that works just as well or better for less.

If you have more than one device connecting to the internet, you need something that can do QoS and not crap out under load. A decent router will also let you VPN into your network so you can securely access all of your machines without having to port forward everything.
This is a job posting. I hate this universe.
i used to get contacted by recruiters all the time for Java jobs (im a (primarily JS) web dev)

I can't count the number of times I've been able to do something on the spot because of this 6 in 1 screwdriver I grabbed for like 3 dollars in a clearance bin. The bits are stored internally so you can't lose them. If you can flip your wrist correctly you can load a bit and lock it in place one handed. Because of the way the bits are stored the handle is large, and rough, so you can put an asinine amount of torque on stuff.
The model is CTL-26698. Lots of places have it online, though apparently Amazon does not. I grabbed it for 3 or 4 dollars in a massive clearance bin at a hardware store that was closing. I saw it and thought, hey that looks kind of neat. I didn't think much of it at the time. I have/had dozens of screwdrivers. It's become my favorite tool by far. Outside of tiny tasks, or things in really tight spaces, I use it for nearly everything. EDIT: Quick googling around says the price is about 15 dollars. Worth it and then some if you ask me.
Some dumb person hopped on /g/ and tried to use it for tech support. And she's not a 4chan user, so she didn't even think twice about the email field, and filled it in. The great doxxing has begun. Now, completely unrelated, if you're near Barlestone in UK, and would like to have sex with a 20-year old ex-international gymnast that recently posted a tech support thread on 4chan, I can hook you up with a link to her dating site profile. [editline]15th June 2014[/editline] She lied on the dating profile, she's actually 25 :/ I'd still hit that.

I personally require smaller bits, though, so my toolkit includes one of these instead. [t]http://i.imgur.com/qIVq7Fb.jpg[/t] Each one of these sets is $5, so if I lose a bit or two or strip them I'm not very fussed. Although I should probably consider better tools considering I wear through one of these sets a year.

Her details are so available, it would be faster to just straight-up dox her yourself than to coax 4chan into doing it. Thank you, Facebook and social media in general, fucking with people has never been easier.
Yay me and my WhiterSuburban address. Also, I had an idea of using a wall USB adapter and a USB cable to gut for it's DC power to hook up to a motion trashcan to see if that can be done. [editline]15th June 2014[/editline] Now this DOXing things has made me do Google Alerts for anything that matches my online name and personal name.

Parents won't get a replacement either. Also for me would be a RJ45 Crimping tool, allows me to fix and make network cabling. Not something you would use everyday but it comes in handy.

The images were using a ton of bandwidth for her. So she replaced them. With that. On purpose.
A bit update on Garry's Toolgun [t]http://i.imgur.com/93RCHO9.png[/t]
It had better be fully functional.
It should at least be a real Windows Mobile device.
It should at least be a real Windows Mobile device.
I think I could pull this off since the iMate I have is no use anymore.
I think I could pull this off since the iMate I have is no use anymore.
I remember I once tried to reskin the toolgun to look like an iOS device but I never got that working

It's great, but I have to keep everything in the case or pieces have a tendency to wander off. I've found that I rarely need tiny screwdrivers, or proprietary ones, on the go though, so the fact that you can't misplace a bit, or have one fall through a small hole in your pocket is a huge plus.
[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/DDGBm6.jpg[/t] I got these cheap from Maplin, I have had to epoxy the magnet back inside the screwdriver shaft but they are good otherwise.
I need one of these.
