Do you mean PUK codes...?
Yeah, just the regular PIN.
So I talking to a HP Tech.
And I got a challenge.
2:42 PM [HP TECH]: No, the key stored in the motherboard is not accessible. It will get detected automatically with the digital signature of the OS that it came with.
2:43 PM [White Fusion]: I beg to differ.
Opened up RWEverything and got it on screen.

Oh god, I came across this.
10 ohms of music.
I have a n66u.
No complaints so far other than the stock firmware it came with doesn't keep usage logs after a reset. So I went to check my bandwidth from a month earlier and it wasn't there.
what's this rapid mode thing for samsung SSD's? I'm getting "too good to be true" vibes. if it had no drawbacks, why not enable it as default? I'm worried I'm shortening the lifespan of my SSD by enabling it
iirc you increase the risk of losing data if you lose power for whatever reason.
I just got 8.1 Pro for £15, good?

my internet is basically unusable. This looks like a lot, but I should be getting about 60/10. And i'm blaming my router for it. Since in BF4, within 30 seconds I time out and my router completely crashes.
I also would like to get a more proper wireless adapter. The ones I have are alright, but with my PC where it is, I don't have much room to move them to an ideal situation, also I think the mirror in my bathroom is fucking me over.
But I don't know why suddenly now it's an issue, so I can only blame the router since I got great bandwidth when I moved my computer.
I've got three NAD separate audio units on my desk and pioneer BS22 bookshelves on my desk, in addition to these huge sylvania floor speakers made in my home town in the 70's that I got at a thrift store for $12. Everything sounds great, but there's no room on my desk. I've been seriously considering getting a set of powered monitors (audioengine a5+?) and a headphone amp for my m50's and just getting all that sweet sweet desk space back.

If that's unusable to you I'd love to see what you would think on my connection.
So I work as a computer tech here, doing stuff like server and network management for companies around the island.
And I still don't know how to use e-mail properly.
I just accidentally replied to an email I sent. :downs:

Man, you think yours is bad, I get 6.22mbps down and 0.94 up. And the wireless drops at least three times an hour. :v:
I love my AC66U.
The speedtests... THEY'RE HAPPENING.
we're suppose to be getting 30/something and yet when ever we complain to comcast about the shit speeds or ask for someone to come check/fixed it they claim our speed is "normal" for our area
yeah, bullshit
they also fake our usage meter stats so they can charge us an extra $10 a month too. for example, one week we left to go out of town and comcast claimed we used 90 gigs that same week.
I have actual line stats fuck inaccurate speed tests.
[editline]21st June 2014[/editline]
again sounds like a company that can't put cash into their own lines. No wonder everyone hates fucking comcast and every other fucking large corp from what i hear
up until they put the cap on us we used about 170 gigs a month, but now we suddenly use over 350 a month
I really don't understand how the internet is that fucking bad. We've had it for years it's well established and all yet I bet you no more then 25% can't access it or it's extremely unstable/limited in the North American region.
Yet I'm sitting here in practically almost western world based country and I can easily pull 60/10 from my ancient copper lines.
I honestly can't fucking understand the reasons why the hell your copper/cable isn't maintained by any of the ISPs or independent layers/contractors. It's much much more efficient and way cheaper to manage if it's privatized like it is in New Zealand.
I guess I'm making a shit comparison but holy fuck it really looks like you're going backwards rather then forwards.
That's America in general.
Shit that the rest of the developed world has as standard, universal, every citizen can get it/afford it kinda thing, is stuff you pay out the ass and get shitty service for here.
See: cellular phones, internet, healthcare.
*grumble*
I'm saying that A) the speed is much lower than it used to be and B) USING THE INTERNET BREAKS IT.
I know it's still "higher" than lots of other places.
I've been on my tethered internet most of the day.
I get 20-22 down during the day and 2 up. At night, around 2 am I have broken 45 down and 5 up before on Time Warner Cable.
i'd be fucking outraged at that im super grateful im on unlimited otherwise me going from adsl 20/1 to vdsl 60/10 would be pointless i generally hit 700gb +
the fact that you get less then 256kbps and they claim you use 350 is nay impossible. 150 realistically at those speeds
we told them that but everyone we talked to were stubborn as hell and refused to acknowledge the issue
and it's not like we can switch to another provider since there is only Comcast and AT&T, and some how AT&T is worse (slower speeds and lower cap of 250, but the customer service is less retarded)
but supposedly google fiber is coming to our area so once they show up we're switching asap

this is were the whole you got obama'd cause healthcare is more important then internet and corps actually getting away with shitty excuses and ripping customers off(healthcare is important no doubt but fuck sakes if you can't manage/maintain a fucking service by yourself corps ask your fucking government for help or let them do it)
The thing is, the whole obamacare thing hasn't changed much for the actual quality of service. They still can't guarantee access to healthcare services to every US citizen, whereas almost every other developed, industrialized country can do it... Fuck, even Russia has a form of socialized healthcare.
Our government needs to get over this 60s mode of thinking, 'socialized services are bad and communist!'.
i will send my regards and my utmost envy when you go fiber, i will be jelly as fuck yet glad you're off that shit infrastructure you're currently on
[editline]21st June 2014[/editline]
if they took a note at how every other country is doing instead of being selfish(and i hate to offend anyone at all) absolute cunts to each other i bet you people would want to live in america
new zealand = world class internet infrastructure
australia = really decent import/export prices (yes ive seen your fucking milk jesus shit it's cheap)
russia = healthcare that's actually fucking decent
UK = free schools
it isn't hard usa get the fuck over yourself
I wouldn't call Russia's healthcare decent, I think it's still actually lower quality than other countries, but it's still available to every citizen as far as I know.
I'd rather have the UK's healthcare in the US, and their subsidized university costs and schooling and shit.
UK = free schools
I'd put Finland here - everything up to universities are literally free. As in. They cost nothing at all. Except for books, I guess.
I also love how in the US a college degree is almost required to get a decent job, or at least that's what's been drilled into our heads since the 90s.
I'm lucky, I got my job because of some connections and an exceptional (to them) skill set.

or replace it with scotland. free university tuition, you just have to apply for it.
or replace it with scotland. free university tuition, you just have to apply for it.
Am I stupid or am I wrong that apparently you need to be actually Scottish to apply? It's an alternative route to the move to New Zealand for uni for me.
Pfft free university, how about getting paid for going there?
how about a student loan + working part time while enrolled followed by 20 years of being in debt
I won't be in debt when I finish school ;)
Should I upgrade to Windows 8.1? Currently on Windows 7.
