Yea the 1900AC looked nice, but way out of our price range.
I was going to buy that Linksys, but the price was a lot more than I was willing to pay. And then I realized that the only AC device I have is my Note 3. So I stuck with N and went with a cheaper, but feature-loaded mikrotik that will let me consolidate 3 pieces of networking equipment.

windows will show that low on memory message even if you have a fucking yottabyte of ram if you have swap off

Sounds like a rendering problem, not a font problem.
Wait, you're using Chrome, or Chromium. After they switched to the Aura from GTK, I've been having weird rendering bugs in Chrome too. That's their fault, Firefox works fine.
I actually switched to Firefox, too, they managed to fix some performance problems in the newer nightlies.
