Now I feel old :v:
I share your pain. 21 in less than a month.
surface masterrace [editline]23rd June 2014[/editline] bro do you even lapability [editline]23rd June 2014[/editline] also use rdp it is much much much better than teamviewer
I prefer the design of this one over the surface, plus I got this with the keyboard for £230, Couldn't find a surface that cheap. I use RDP when I'm on campus but I find teamviewer a bit easier for connections over the internet. [editline]23rd June 2014[/editline] Havent had to plug it in since friday
I fucking hate trading cards, got rid of that shit and I now have two free dollars. With ~40 more trading cards still on the market.
I wish I could sell all my TF2 garbage and trading cards and get a couple bucks to buy games with, but alas, Steam Guard needs to be turned on for two weeks before I can do ANYTHING.
All my stuff for TF2 is not tradeable or marketable, shame cause some of it would make me a couple bucks for the sale
I just wish there was a way to bulk sell things. Clicking on "Sell", entering a number, and clicking "Yes" twice for 60+ trading cards was not fun. But I'm finally free from their influence.
Anyone have any recommendations for a good microphone that I can wear, preferably with a thin frame so I can wear it under my large headphones without having to bother modding it? I've yet to find one that doesn't spontaneously disintegrate after a few months.
Picked up a new tablet a week ago and I'm totally enamoured. Haven't been able to put it down. Plus its so pretty! [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/c4pHcI.jpg[/t]
I wished Nokia would have made an Win x86 or x64 version.
I wished Nokia would have made an Win x86 or x64 version.
RT is such a scam. Especially since Bay Trail is a thing.
you lot need to learn about folders
The Bookmarks pulldown exists for a reason.
Today I got my @hp.com email address. I feel special.
I have mine like this
Dead end platform, it will never gain any traction with developers.
Speaking strictly personally, I dont see the need for x86 windows on a tablet. The only reason i can see that you'd need it would be to run legacy apps, and if youre doing that you need a mouse and keyboard anyway so why not just buy a laptop or ultrabook? The Lumia is perfect for me in pretty much every way, I could have got a bay trail tablet for the same price, but the screen woudn't have been as nice, the battery life would be nowhere near comparable, and it would not have performed as well. and whenever I do need to use visual studio or Latex (programming on the train is nice) I can remote into my office machine - I wouldn't be able to test the software on any tablet anyway as I develop for a very specific system. I am very happy with my purchase.

TechRadar was able to eke 10 hours and 45 minutes out of the Asus T100, and 10 and a half hours out of the Lumia 2520. Performance is identical. Windows 8 is able to perform smoothly on more hardware than even Windows 7 can. [editline]23rd June 2014[/editline] Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say you should be unhappy with your purchase - the case is simply that nowadays, Atom chipsets are a better option for Windows tablets. Period. If you're going to get a Windows tablet for the versatility that Windows, by nature, provides, you might as well go the full mile.
This thing is letting me watch Summer Games Done Quick's live stream with no buffers Wooooo
You might be interested in this little set of awfully coded scripts that I put together in 5 minutes, Autostrimmer for Raspberry Pi - I put it together as I was tired of the shitty 30fps transcoded streams that the console version of Twitch puts out, it's nice to have source quality 60fps
What do they have planned for Broadwell anyway?
Die shrink and consequently a decrease in power consumption. In other words, the SP4 is gonna be hot shit.
How exactly does shrinking the die improve the power consumption?
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is probably the best game I've played so far this year.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is probably the best game I've played so far this year.
There's a reason my Steam background is the Rare ETS2 Steam background.
wow what the hell network was dropping, the cable was a little loose, plugged it back in a little slow but okay now hours later it's unbearable and i check the network adapter 10mbps disable, enable - 1gbps it's now full speed again wat
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is probably the best game I've played so far this year.
i hope you're using a wheel
We now have a virus box for new employees at work. We download the most amount of crap we can (obviously starting with AOL desktop 9.7) and they have to clear as much of it off as possible. It's hilarious.
It lowers the resistance of the circuitry inside the chip requiring less power to operate. And a lower TDP...
I wonder how low we need to go before passive cooling becomes feasible.
I wonder how low we need to go before passive cooling becomes feasible.
It is feasible with certain very low powered parts. We're always going to pump the power to the point that we need a fan though. For a very long time we'll be hitting a thermal wall for passive far before we hit the performance limit.
I wonder how low we need to go before passive cooling becomes feasible.
Honestly, there is no reason to make it that cool. A fan running at 800RPM hardly makes any noise at all.
Honestly, there is no reason to make it that cool. A fan running at 800RPM hardly makes any noise at all.
Well like, would Skylake be possible around that level?
I wonder how low we need to go before passive cooling becomes feasible.
We're already there. It's just not feasible for high-powered systems - although you can get a quad-core i7 in there already, just at really low clocks. And someone made a passively-cooled 680, although that might rely on case fans for airflow.
Honestly, there is no reason to make it that cool. A fan running at 800RPM hardly makes any noise at all.
Hell a 120mm rad with 2 ultra quiet fans would be near silent and still give solid cooling
I missed an intercharge in ETS2 just now. Naturally, I took the interchange that was designed for getting onto the highway instead, into oncoming traffic, but then I had cars blocking my way, so I drove on the side of a fucking hill with a truck. 10/10 GOTY
