I keep making these comparisons. This is my first unboxing since I got that shotgun mic from last year. Involved, but makes the production value so much better.

Are they allowed to just DBAN and reinstall Windows on it? :v:
Just Googled X1 to see if it'd come up with stuff about the Xbone. Nope. Just pages and pages of Cars, Laptops, Headphones and Bus Route all named X1.
Tried the same on Bing, got the same types of results but with added Star Wars and printers. You'd think they'd at least have the Xbox One come up when you search X1 on Bing if the fanbase is so adamant on calling it the X1.

Core m which appears to be the broadwell version of the low power parts, think the xxxxU parts currently, can be passively cooled and it's a full broadwell CPU, if a low power version.

I can confirm that this is the correct way to play ETS2.

Not really, I'd say it's more like changing the wheels on a car to some older shittier ones just because the car itself is old.

cant imagine anything being more satisfying than knowing you can do something and making somebody else do it anyways

I didn't even ask for it. I was asked if I wanted one and I went, "Sureokay."

The best skill one can have is delegation
Speaking strictly personally, I dont see the need for x86 windows on a tablet. The only reason i can see that you'd need it would be to run legacy apps, and if youre doing that you need a mouse and keyboard anyway so why not just buy a laptop or ultrabook?
The Lumia is perfect for me in pretty much every way, I could have got a bay trail tablet for the same price, but the screen woudn't have been as nice, the battery life would be nowhere near comparable, and it would not have performed as well. and whenever I do need to use visual studio or Latex (programming on the train is nice) I can remote into my office machine - I wouldn't be able to test the software on any tablet anyway as I develop for a very specific system. I am very happy with my purchase.
I can run Steam, Unity Devkit, Maya, Mocha, and After Effects on my T100 natively, and it came with a keyboard dock. Some steam games work just fine without the keyboard, so I install them. And I cannot imagine doing any sort of real programming work on a touchscreen keyboard. That just sounds awful.
[editline]23rd June 2014[/editline]
The only bit of your argument that is actually true is the screen thing, which is absolutely valid, but I believe the versatility of being able to run real desktop software on my 10.1" tablet and get 10+ hours of battery life anyways is worth it.

He used to have an office job dealing with printers for Honeywell.
He broke more shit in a shorter timespan than any other new employee there.

I actually know people who do this. They connect their cable box to their HDTV using the coax cable or composite. Dear god how does anyone look at that and say "yep, that looks great" when there is letterboxing on 16:9 channels, horrid colors, and overall blurriness on their brand new widescreen TV.
[editline]23rd June 2014[/editline]
My friend has the box set up correctly over HDMI but always tunes the the SD channel even though he has the HD channels (its not like they cost extra anymore). The damn guide even says "Press ok to watch in HD" when he tunes to it and he just closes it. HOW OBLIVIOUS DO YOU HAVE TO BE.
Or people with a complete phobia of preparing even basic television setups. Matching shapes and colors? Call an expensive expert

It reminds me of audiophiles who see a component cable (R/G/B) and swear the red is audio.

That must be why they call them because this is apparently complex shit.
I'm really afraid the critical thinking and problem solving (if you could even call setting up a TV that) is a really rare skill to have.

YPbPr must be term that's an entirely different language.
Admittedly, using red for both Pr and right channel IS a bit confusing.
Reminds me, why can't I just find a small TV that doesn't combine the audio for composite and component? What I mean is, every single TV now seems to have one yellow in for composite, the RGB for YPbPr component and then only one set of R/W audio. Do I need a splitter or something? It's universal.
Windows 98 is surprisingly usable still i found.
I'm posting from a 1.2GHZ amd athlon, 1GB RAM, 40GB HDD, geforce 2MX.
It absolutely whips along, it can reboot in less than 30 seconds.

I actually have a very similar Gateway 2000 system, just with 512 MB (still overkill for 98 SE anyway). Once you find a (somewhat) modern browser, its pretty usable. It even has a ZIP disk slot with a DVD reader!

It seems like TVs now are trying to cut out the old analog inputs. My 19" Toshiba from 2009 has more analog inputs then our fairly nice and newer 46" Samsung. 2 component, two composite/svideo, and vga vs 1 combined composite/component input and I don't think even has VGA, just 4 HDMI inputs.

I had to install an unofficial patch as windows 98 doesn't like using more than 512MB RAM apparently.
There's actually a community releasing service packs for it.
Some how after all my painstaking denoising, compression on YT made the video look the cleanest.

Yeah heh I have a standard Def cable box and a 1080p HDTV. At least I connected it using composite instead of a coax cable and used channel 3. I think it costs like $5-10 more a month to rent the HD box and even then it's not a pvr, and we only have like 10 HD channels. To get more costs extra.
