I believe this may run it decently well, of course this excludes the costs of peripherals but it's under 700 and'll teach you more than just getting a laptop. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/VZLTzy
probably get standard settings no aa low render range :^)
He asked for $700 so I gave him 700
Google IO was rad tfw no nexus 5
I missed half of the stream. Did something useful happen to android? And by something I mean a feature thats not like "Your phone now automatically tweets what you are eating".
The fact that you guys think this should be a fireable offense is scary.
I'm lost, what happened?
Google IO was rad tfw no nexus 5
sell your lumia and go get one

At least that's the stuff I thought was important.
sell your lumia and go get one
but muh camera
I probably would end up getting an new Nexus device for my next phone if it was around the same price as the Oneplus One and was easier to get. I really want the Oneplus One and don't want to have to leave it but I maybe screwed if I can't get it over the summer holidays (Gives me a two month window).
I find it retarded from Nokia or Microsoft or what ever to Announce the Lumia 630,635 and the Lumia 930. Then release the 630 635 in may. Where is the Lumia 930? No where. Almost 3 months after the anouncement. Also i thought the other OEMS made any devices?
Can upgrade in early August, hopefully a new good phone comes out by then, or i'll just get the One M8 or Nexus 5.
I'm probably going to pick up the Note 4 or the iPhone 6 around Christmas to replace my iPhone 5s.

It looks like a cheap piece of shit and once the /r/android hype died down I pretty much never saw it again
Did that phone actually turn out any good?
I'm gonna be honest. A 700$ won't really be able to play Arma 3 anywhere near playable levels. Maybe if you turn everything down and even reduce the render resolution, which in turn makes arma 3 looks so bad it's not worth it.
To give laptops credit, the 800M~ series GPUs are actually really good and would likely run ArmA 3 fine - although the cheapest laptops with the 850M-60M are Clevos in the $900s range.
I have a 640m in my laptop and it is retarded in deciding which games it wants to run. 60fps on High on GTA IV and Deus Ex HR. 20fps on Medium on Source games.
Praise be to Odin, my old phone lives again. Might end up being a wifi media bitch or i might give it to a friend with a dumbphone. Not sure yet [editline]25th June 2014[/editline]
I have a 640m in my laptop and it is retarded in deciding which games it wants to run. 60fps on High on GTA IV and Deus Ex HR. 20fps on Medium on Source games.
You sure nVidia Optimus (or whatever it is now) isn't defaulting to your CPU's IGP for source?
Also, eBay is a good source of used laptops with decent power as well. I see a Clevo W230ST going for $740 that would fit the bill. [editline]f[/editline] Nevermind test post please ignore I didn't know they made them with i5s

http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014/06/cops-must-have-a-warrant-to-search-cell-phones-rules-supreme-court/ Cops can no longer just take your phone from you and go through it, they need a warrant now.
Wonder when we'll get our first 64bit android phone
Wonder when we'll get our first 64bit android phone
When we get our first 64 bit iPhone.
last year?
ArmA 3 is mostly CPU dependent iirc, he'd need something around an i7 to get a good mix of visuals and performance.
Mobile i7s are no slouches, especially Haswell ones. I was able to run ArmA 2-3 fine on my ol' W230ST. [editline]f[/editline] Oh god I didn't know they made those in i5 format why.
It took me entirely too long to get Laravel working on OpenBSD today. Partly my fault for not reading the man pages, partly my fault for messing up the VM size and having to redo everything, partly OpenBSD's fault for using Apache 1.x by default, partly their fault for not using OpenSSL right, and partly their fault for blindly assuming Linux-specific calls to get random seeds work the same everywhere.
I know, I was just saying despite a laptop have a good gpu it isn't going to run ArmA 3 all that well without a beefy cpu to go with it
I assumed that the W230ST I linked had an i7 because on xoticpc the only options you can pick through are i7s (and that's really the only place I buy Clevos from), so my mistake.
I'm lost, what happened?
He refers to the BBC push notification blunder I posted.
