There is no reason not to have notepad++ set as the default for most text files. Even code files .py .sh .cpp and stuff if you don't have an actual dev environment on hand.

Adblock Plus was around for Firefox before Chrome even existed, AdBlock was made by someone else after the ABP team took too long to port to Chrome

Yeah, I'm aware of the two different ones. I only specified Adblock Plus because their repository is on [url=https://github.com/adblockplus/adblockpluschrome]github[/url] making it easy to verify. According to Adblock's permissions, though, it uses webRequest and webRequestBlocking, so it's pretty likely that it also stops the network requests before they're even sent.

Fallout 3 has problems with Windows 7 and 8. I had to do some things to get it working. Check the steam forums or something.
