Looks like the display didn't have much rigidity in the first place and something flexed it hard, by the fact that the base unit seems to be fine and it's an Acer.
Doesn't look to be that bad of a repair considering the hinges are intact and everything is still roughly in one piece.
The hinges on my Acer laptop just broke after being opened, the washers or whatever they are wrapped around the hinge warped and buckled causing the plastic casing to break off. So whenever I open the laptop I have to be careful cause the bottom right of the frame comes off the screen.

Two hours of sitting in a car with my brother, driving 60km to buy case+mobo+PSU, then another 60km back, no aircon in his car and Finnish summer baking me.
Two hours of setting up pre-install stuff.
Six hours of building 2 computers, and installing Windows etc. on brother's new machine.
Feels good man.
i noticed i was getting some pretty weird google ads so i decided to check my ad settings

i have never watched (or googled) anime or bollywood movies in my life.
isn't the gadget show that program where idiot presenters salivate over macs?
I wouldn't know because I don't watch it, I only got offered to go and I did so because I had nothing to do.
And then the GPU in my nvidia t61 broke, Good thing i'm parting out my other intel t61.
1 long beep, 2 short beeps, rip in peace.

just adblock them?
Well my Dad has got us Fibre internet, bad news is that it's 38mb/s instead of the 76mb/s I wanted. Still skimping on the router (He thinks the new ISP provided one will be fine) but if it doesn't I'm really going to pressure him into giving me the money for a PFsense box.

The router should be perfectly fine, they wouldn't advertise a broadband speed then give you a router that can't get those speeds. The router I was given 3 years ago from Virgin Media when I was still on 20mb/s fibre works perfectly fine on the 100mb/s I'm on now.

Well the router we have now is our ISP provided one and it crashes at least once daily, its irritating.

Yeah I'm not really moaning, better is better and I can't really throw my toys out of the pram.
woo for 3.5g!
0.9mbps down, 0.1mbps up inside my apartment
i doubt that 4g is any better if 3g has this shit range
funny enough 1 bar of LTE was still faster than what 3G will ever be.
Anyways LTE sure is fast..

5Mb/s is blazing fast, you could even stream 720p on youtube with a few tweaks.
I still connect to dial-up sometimes when our internet connection is bodged and I just need to check something, because honestly it's around the same speed as a 3Mb/s connection that 3 people are trying to stream youtube and download everything on. It reminds me of my childhood.

Dial in free is a great free dialup provider in Michigan, by the way.

bt's isp router is actually pretty darn good
mine has a crap web interface and the DNS gets confused a lot when connecting to other computers in the LAN for some reason I've yet to figure out, but as far as actual connectivity goes it works fine
[editline]3rd July 2014[/editline]
it even supports a bunch of shit i've looked for so i probably won't need to swap it out anytime soon

I'm 5 to 6mb/s and can confirm that I Can stream 720p on Youtube. Annoys me a bit though because I'm a bit of a nut for running things as native resolution and don't like upscaling.
I started using PrivateInternetAccess again and all my streaming problems went away. Youtube works fine, Google Play Music works fine, all is good. Wonder what was causing those issues.

Probably just your ISP being an ass.
I just got my driver's permit today and drove my dad in his BMV that he said I'll never drive.
Today was a good day.

The first week I ever drove was in our '79 VW bus. My dad's reasoning was "if you can drive a cable stick shaped like a box, you can drive anything." Well he wasn't wrong.

I don't blame him.
It's a luxury BMW (that he managed to turn the backseat into a trashcan, several times)

Hell if I had a luxury car I'd put a mac pro in the back seat too
I think we are just rich white people.
