Yeah, but it's still annoying they don't just have HDMI natively seeing even a cheap netbook had it two years ago. It's like they just now realize that people use it.
it's annoying as fuck at my job (school) where people come and have lectures with their macs
95% of them don't have hdmi ports and we have to use the media computer instead
people steal the adapters so we can't use those
I did a new cooking video.
But I honestly think it sucked. I need to move out to do them.
Cook your family then

And some of the design choices are outright retarded, like why is there only HDMI on the retina models, and why did they put the fucking microphone right next to the fucking speakers.
I will say that I envy the Magsafe and LED battery meter on the side though, all computers should have that.
there is no video out other than tb1 on the current non retina mbp, but adapters for HDMI and DVI are insanely cheap

the non retina macbook legitimately feels like a cheap clone after using a retina model tbqh. the only reason it exists is for students who need an optical drive or who can't afford a bigger internal SSD/are too dumb to buy an external drive

Maybe when my relatives pop over, my aunt has a MBP non-retina and I might compare it for myself.
it's worse in almost every possible way. slower CPU, slower iGPU, much worse display (but still good for laptop standards i guess), no SSD. it's a lot heaver, clunky feeling and the bezel is bigger
i have both here with me and i would never ever consider the old macbook over the retina one
it hasn't been properly updated in a long time, and probably for a good reason. apple are going to drop it any day now
The 13inch non retina MacBook is gross.
Yeah my aunt has that model and I kind of liked it. But I compared those two models in PC world and I found the Retina one a bit nicer.
Why the fuck is smooth scrolling disabled in Chrome all the time
I just see the 13inch MBP everywhere and they all run quite hot even when doing virtually nothing. Also heavy, and with impractical low res glossy screens. Good laptops, but not for the price.
Ok, here you guys go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkiWnWZ-N1A
If I could get my computer to autoplay that every time I need to wake up, that would be the greatest alarm clock ever.

So much ASMR.
I used my new mic and stuff for this one. You can probably hear much more ambience and reverb in my old ones in comparison.
Downside is just how fucking complex shooting something like this is. That video took about 70minutes to shoot. So the eggs and bacon were cold when I was done.
I'd like to record a official patreon video to set a goal for two things. A camera slider from Konova or something and also a Juicedlink camera amp. I can just port it into the 60D for recording, since it does PCM 48khz.
Ahahahaha, I sat my mother down in front of Star Citizen and a joystick.
She kept rocking the joystick front and back, almost made her puke.
I'm definitely hearing the difference with the new mic, superior quality sizzling. That said, are american breakfasts usually that fatty? Doesn't help that you used like a pound of butter for the eggs :v:

Your joystick must really be disgusting, then.

the text you used in the title was too small. kinda hurt my eyes reading it even with a 5.1" phone.
My WD Blue is really strange recently. I got it in March and ever since a week or two ago it's started making a strange ticking noise.
...And yes I have been shouting at it to shut up.

He said in his comments thread that he used more butter than usual because he's used to bigger pans, but other than that yeah eggs and bacon is pretty standard.
I usually have buttered toast with mine

having cresty cook bacon and eggs every morning for me would be just amazing.

A loud, short, constant ticking noise? That's a head crash. I'd back everything up if I were you.

How long do you think it has to live?

It's a ticking time bomb and the detonation means the end of your precious data

Maybe when we're married.

Yea, I'm used to a bigger pan because I also typically use more eggs, but I also cook ONLY eggs usually, not bacon, toast, or anything like that.
Most americans probably skip breakfast these days.

It was small, though I like small text. And I don't always edit my content for small screens. I enjoy playing with scale and negative space often. Unfortunately, I don't consider people viewing on mobile. Also did you use headphones :(
Brett, you should've done a shot at the end of you breaking the bacon apart and writing your age over the eggs and then putting on a Heisenberg hat.
How long do you think it has to live?
You never can tell, but let me explain what a head crash is. The head reading the actual disk rests roughly the length of one smoke particle above it. What you're hearing is the head literally crashing into the disk at 7200rpm and scarring it.

Is that a reference to BB? I've never see it.

I wouldn't call the non retina 13" MBP a good laptop when purchased today, especially when the retina model isn't a whole lot more expensive. The only reason Apple sells products like that, and the newest iMac with piss poor specs for a desktop is because educational institutions buy them and the margins must be massive. I think the only reason the iPad 2 is gone now is because they have the iPad Mini and they want to finally kill the 30pin dock connector. I cannot imagine how much money they made off of schools buying iPad 2s for $399.
