Storytime! -words-
The central file server here was specifically setup so that Windows did not page on the RAID. It had its own drive for shit like that. IF however the RAID volume were to fill up between inventory cycles (which happens every night at 3AM) Windows would start losing its shit. Upon discovering the above: -Remote storage Manager would stop sending commands to the tape library -RDP services would fail -Other random processes would randomly lock up Because RSM was hanging, if a FILE REQUEST was made to the library from a connected machine (or pretty much any command) the query would hang and the connected user would also have his computer hang up waiting for network traffic that was never going to arrive. In rare cases this meant that anyone connected to that machine would also hang up as various processes screeched to a halt and waited for the network. Network broadcasting would also lose its mind. If you looked up networked systems the server would respond to a ping but then hang the connected machine which was expecting additional machine information but nothing beyond the TCP/IP stack was working. I brought my entire network down to its knees and within five seconds of forcing the server off everything timed out and snapped back to normal.
noticed that the left cup of my headset kind of flickered on and off for a while, and now it's completely gone. if I twist and bend the wire, it would flicker on for a split second and go off again. it doesn't work anymore, so looks like the wire for the left cup got severed. is fixing that fairly easy?
depending on how fucking shit they designed the construction of the headset you are trying to fix
I have the Sennheiser PC350 and by the looks of it, the wire got severed either in the volume control or right before hitting the volume control
Yes, do it Those things are fucking horrible
I know people who leave those kinds of stickers on their TV - the ones that block the corner of the picture. Those things are a million times worse.
So I just bought the GB-BXi5G-760. Not sure how I feel about it. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5096#ov

Off topic but I used to post my videos here. I posted a new video review of a gaaeyme. Thought some of you might like to watch it. Some of you are patrons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PPly990aro
My old website was made in Dreamweaver. Once I got the layout good it took two fucking weeks to get it to work in Chrome + IE + Firefox + Opera. And IE was the hardest one to get working. It never worked on mobile devices. I have since just switched to Joomla and now everything is bootstrapped and it's good.
Last time I was doing web site design, I used Netbeans... A few programming IDEs have nice plugins to do web development from what I found.
Doesn't look half bad. Definitely seems like something you'd buy. I also look forward to buying it off of you in a year or so.
I'm gonna have a 256gb 840 pro for sale soon!
Speaking of SSDs, how long do you want to bet it will be before Samsung makes a PCIe (or PCIe over SATA Express) version of the 850 Pro? Because that would be pretty much the best SSD you could make right now - massive endurance, massive I/O, and even pretty good capacity.
I'm gonna have a 256gb 840 pro for sale soon!
I'd be on board if it was more in the 500GB range. Trying to rid myself of this pesky 3.5" bay in my case. Also if I had money.
do it in chicago, the police will be too busy to give a shit about you
Dunno. I haven't seen the police giving many shits here in Toledo.
Godammit Gary, I keep going to Creationism Corner when I'm trying to go to H&S.
So does Ubuntu just have a bunch of cool phone stuff on their website that will never see reality, or does any of it actually exist?
When it arrives, would you be so kind to inform if it has a 760 or 760m. No one seems to know.
I believe I read somewhere that it was the desktop variant of 760, not the 760m
I believe I read somewhere that it was the desktop variant of 760, not the 760m
From what I'm reading now its actually a 870m, but labeled a a desktop 760. Don't know why I'm bothering asking though, the ability to buy it in the UK will be non existent.
When's the 850s supposed to come out? Planning to do a build with a 500GB SSD in the next few months, not sure if I want to wait for it.
July 21st, according to the Anandtech review.
When it arrives, would you be so kind to inform if it has a 760 or 760m. No one seems to know.
Should be here tomorrow. I'm excited. I made my whole mini itx spiel so I can be more mobile, but this was what I was looking for the whole time. I hope it works out.
