Whoever suggested using all their primary monitors in portrait mode should be banished to the lands of tech support hell. No thank you I don't want to gouge my eyes out at forced vertical video syndrome.
The only good use for a portrait mode monitor would be that Valve issue tracker that contained Source 2 hints that ReaverXai leaked. That's about it.
Coders tend to use portrait too.
My Wheel Mouse optical is starting to cut out. God damn it, better find a replacement before it dies completely.
Anyone who has experience with Windows Server upgrading and software raids?
Thanks to Dreamspark I can upgrade to Windows Server 2012 for free, I was thinking a fresh install here. For that I would pull out the RAID'd drives and install then put them back in afterwards. Now since this is just RAID1 it shouldn't be a problem right? How exactly do I put them back in RAID1, because I seem to recall that it formatted when I did it originally, that might just have been because it was new though.

If you used the MS software raid (dynamic disks), its all automagic. Plug them in, check disk management, and you're good to go.
Same for Intel chipset "fake raid". Plug in, good to go.
I have fixed my mouse, fault in the wire. Had been crushed down by the casing so I moved it inwards, only delaying the inevitable though as I'm sure it will happen again with the fresher bit of wiring in it's place. This mouse is at least several years old at this point so I'm hoping I can now get a few more years out it at least.

tl;dr new VIA chip, x86-64, BGA on VIA mobos, quad-core, AVX2, looks comparable to Jaguar in gross performance. Should be useful for sub-Mini-ITX boards. Mostly I'm just glad VIA's still in the market - I feel like, if they tried, they could get a desktop competitor out fairly quickly, which would make them a real threat.

I agree, I want more competition. I love intel to death, but they kinda own the cpu market, and it's sad.

Yeah, it's sad. But at least they aren't too lazy about it and still innovating their new products, hopefully VIA can give them some competition.

Interference my friend
Sell my T100 and buy an Android tablet? Or do you guys think it's worth keeping? Still works, just is kind of a cheap piece of crap. Which, I suppose, is to be expected from a $350 x86 tablet.
Was sent New Star Soccer 5 on Steam. Works perfectly.

Well I passed the A+ 802. Time to go job hunting again
What is it with me and things not working today? Now my S3 doesn't turn on whatsoever, its completely dead as far as I can tell.
I think I'm going to RMA this Gigabyte 780, or at least replace it with a different brand. It buzzes and whines like crazy

Anything moderately intensive makes this annoying as fuck noise. Portal 2, Sniper Elite V2, Arma 3, Borderlands 2 occasionally
somebody tried registering an apple id with my email
so now it's my apple id

Yes! I had given up hope on a new x86-64 processor from VIA since all they've been doing lately is cranking out ARM boards. So how long till they mount this thing to a Pico-ITX board so I can give them all my money?

Them bookshelves without an Atom or Celeron?
Has any game / game engine even beaten the facial expressions from HL2 / source engine?
Because I just looked at the new AC: Unity trailer and not a single person moved it's mouth there.
16:10 in landscape is my prefered programming display. I did work off 4:3 for 6 months which was like wearing nipple clamps.
I don't mind 4:3 in portrait. (Although not as my primary display, 21:9 is great)
16:10 in landscape is my prefered programming display. I did work off 4:3 for 6 months which was like wearing nipple clamps.
Sooo.. Slightly exhilarating?
with shit airflow yeah you'll have to worry the intel stock coolers aren't the worst. I render with my stock cooler and it only pops to 60c which is safe and normal

I have a 4770K and on 100% load it goes to 85C :S Should I be worried? (this on a stock cooler). Otherwise runs normally at 35.

No need to worry really.

No that's fine. Consider getting a better cooler though.
ok so update from this past weekend on the event I was handling, shit tons of no signal areas on my phone because Rogers sucks inside the ontario science center while anyone on bell/telus but overall when it did work, sms was usable and effective. radios were not avaliable but if it was, it would be very hard to hear anything while inside the middle of a rave or loud event. Will complain to Rogers about the shitty service. In related news, my xiaomi 10400mAh power bank was very useful at this event, since I was running all over the place I had really no time to stop and charge my phone at a wall outlet so I just used the power bank while in my pockets. I charged my phone and 2 gopro a few times. At the end of Saturday, it was at less than 25%. I like how I can charge the gopros with a USB cable, it's very convenient and not annoying.
Sooo.. Slightly exhilarating?
Restricting and painful I'm guessing :v:
I did work off 4:3 for 6 months which was like wearing nipple clamps.
Where the hell do you even find 4:3 displays?
The only 4:3 computer monitors I've seen are 1024x768 or 800x600.
1280x1024 is 5:4

Definitely get a new cooler.
