you can get one of those memory cards with it preinstalled if you wanted to or better yet if you have one of these (or are willing to get one), you can add me on steam and I'll walk you through getting shit going
I thought nobody had cracked MagicGate and thus these couldn't be used with a PC?
if there's a game out there that still has multiplayer we could group up and tournament sometime w/ skype or something [editline]14th July 2014[/editline] shit would be so cash
Some russians managed to get MGS3 Online working again, that'd be interesting as I never got to experience it when it was up officially. Else we could do some LAN with XLink Kai if that still works. GT4/Midnight Club/SOCOM 3 anyone? midnight club 3 mp is great
midnight club 3 mp is great
I miss midnight club 1 and 3 so much. Pity 4 didn't do as well.
I've owned a fat PS2 since like 2004. I prefer to have it hooked to a small CRT, though - looks nicer when the physical resolution is lower. [editline]15th July 2014[/editline] Though the CRT TV in question has a weird issue where I have to violently bend the circuitboard via the SCART connector to get the colours to show correctly. No obvious broken connections on the board, either.
I have that issue too, apparently its due to the connectors on the SCART socket itself being dodgy. Have to open the set up and solder them back into place which I cannot do. Something I cannot do and I'm not sure that someone else would do these days. Shame too because it's still a functioning piece of equipment otherwise and still useful to me watching DVDs.
[t]http://puu.sh/acb0C/6bc2a5184d.png[/t] This is one of the more strange things I've done in a quite some time...
Does capture area just stop working on Puush for anyone else? I use it once and then I have to restart Puush before it'll work again.
Why?
I'm planning to run 2 VMs in a VM...
I'm planning to run 2 VMs in a VM...
Because why not.
Made my blog more responsive. [editline]15th July 2014[/editline] Ignore the fact that the grey on the post keeps flickering. That's a bug with the recorder.
my 2500k has been on since 2011, and i haven't even reinstalled no overclocking though doesn't pretty much everyone have their machines on 24/7?
I don't see any reason not to. And if you claim "waste of electricity" - Folding@home.
So after my i5-2500k reached its end at 4.5Ghz @ 1.37V I tried dialing it back 100Mhz and it's happy and stable a full .1V below. Yeah, okay computer.
If you got the cooler try overclocking to 4.7ghz. Mine only did 4.6ghz but my brothers did 4.7ghz.
For the sake of pranks, I've uploaded this "USB Microwave" video to Facebook. I wonder if anyone will actually fall for it.
Had a taste of malware for the first time in years, and even then it was just a dumb browser adware that changes your homepage to some weird search engine.
Had a taste of malware for the first time in years, and even then it was just a dumb browser adware that changes your homepage to some weird search engine.
That garbage is so annoying. My PC, my sister's PC, and my fathers work desktop got the same search engine adware garbage at the same time. I use Avira, my dad uses AVG, and I forget what my sister uses. None of us installed anything at the time, and it just snuck in absolutely silent. I don't understand how that shit works.
Driveby malware maybe? I remember installing ImgBurn on my desktop and all of a sudden my Chrome restarted to Conduit Search and had a myTunes (the most irritating toolbar) that affected all my browsers. Then I scanned and ended up with more than 100 infected files and a bunch of trojans.
The last time I had a virus was back in like 08. I was pretty knowledgeable about computers for my age(12) but I never had to deal with malware before. Anyway, if I remember correctly I somehow got to a pop-up or something where it would come up with like 4 dialog boxes all saying stuff like "Free antivirus, your system is infected, please download" and all that. You know, the typical scareware deal. Anyway, being a naïve kid I felt bad and thought "wow, these antivirus companies must really be desperate, I should give them a chance". :v: Needless to say I learned my lesson, but it wasn't a big deal since I simply re-installed windows. I already had Avira, but I don't remember it giving me any warnings when installing the obviously fake anti-malware.
Technically at stock clocks a consumer CPU should have no issue staying on nearly 24/7. I've had a Pentium II, 4 and AMD Athlon on for longer with absolutely no issues. Your other components will die long before the CPU does.
Hell, I had an Athlon X2+ for some 6-7+ years. Since I don't turn my PC off at night, it had its fair share of uptime. I finally replaced it when it bottlenecked my system enough that upgrading to an i5-2500k yielded like an 8x FPS improvement in games. Now, though, my HD 6850 is the bottleneck, and affording a new GPU sucks :(

Granted I kept my proc at a cool 50°
Conduit?
Conduit is vile man. Eff that. I did manage to get rid of it completely though. Had to abandon it in favor of the suite my LG Blu-Ray burner to burn ISOs and rip some. I tend to rip install DVDs incase the discs decay or get scratched to the point of being unusable.
I feel like a take a very lenient approach to malware, I feel as if I'm technical enough to avoid getting it in the first place and so only run a scan whenever I feel like it. I think I'm just asking for an incident where I'll get caught with my trousers down.
Conduit?
It was something called Omiga Plus. [editline]15th July 2014[/editline] Oh great, it appeared again. Here's a screenshot: [t]http://i.imgur.com/AesVdMK.png[/t] "Woman is 53 but looks like 27" [editline]15th July 2014[/editline] Actually Chrome just opened that page after updating for some reason even though the adware is completely gone from my computer.

So, this is happening. So close to being a perfect monitor for me, I just wish it was glossy.
Did you remember to change your homepage back? :v:

adwcleaner then delete your chrome shortcut and make a new one go to settings and check starting page / search engine
I did all that before and I guess Chrome had saved the page somewhere and restored it after updating. [editline]15th July 2014[/editline] Also for some reason if I close Chrome (Canary) from the red X and open it again, it opens the previous session. I have to close all tabs for it to start from blank.
