Why not just block the 404 gif only?

It doesn't actually look too terrible in this video, I'd still just rather pull out my phone though.
i think what makes it tolerable is that you just have to pretend there is no vertical axis on your keyboard and bam everything else works

You also sound awkward sometimes talking to your phone.
What the fuck, Valve?
I turned off auto-updates for Kerbal Space Program because the updates always break my mods and saves. No big deal, that's why you can turn off updates. I'll update once I manage to actually beat the game once, so I can do another playthrough with whatever they've added.
It's currently installing an update ANYWAY. I can even see that it is set not to update, and yet, it is still updating. And I was in the endgame - I've never gotten to explore most of the planets because updates keep fucking over my saves.
I'm going to be incredibly pissed if I have to grind through LEO/Mun/Minmus exploration again just because Steam doesn't listen to its own settings.
Oh oh. My computer has just randomly froze twice without any blue screen dumps....
Any ideas?

Event log only comes up with a Kernel Power event.
Whenever my computer does that, I just kick up voltage +.01V.
I don't know if it fixes the issue.

Running Prime95 now to test my OC again and RAM.

Move it out of the steam dir - it can run standalone.
I find it rather unsatisfying that more laptops can't just be like the Lenovo Yoga and have fold-back touchscreens so I can fiddle with the hinge and flip it back and forth all day.

That setting doesn't mean shit. A friend had 10 or 15 gigabytes of internet usage at his old place (3G was the best option) and Steam ignored the setting all the time. A few games download updates and he's fucked for the rest of the month.

Thought I was the only one. First day of a month on T-Mobile 4G tethering off my phone and Steam randomly decides to download Back To The Future episode 1 and so I'm stuck with edge for the rest of the month at home.

So basically the update situation is the same now as it was in 2008 - you either put up with the automatic updates or you run Steam in offline mode at all times.
Only improvement is offline mode actually works for most people now.
This is why you NetLimiter.
I've just had a steam fuck up as well
its forgotten where 3 games were so it thinks it's uninstalled
now i have to redownload dark souls 2, dota 2 and borderlands 2 and thats about 30 fucking gigs right there
the thing is ITS STILL THERE IN MY STEAM LIBRARY LITERALLY COMPLETE DONE.
If you move them to where they should be - steam will find the files, check them, instead of downloading them again.
Oh, great.
So KSP installed the update. A couple mods broke, some I barely used (Kethane), some I rely on (MechJeb). But that's fine, I'll update them and they'll work again.
It didn't fuck up my save, which is good. But they fucked up their process.
See, they added a bunch of stuff to Career mode. Enough that they added a "Science" mode that is literally described as "what Career mode used to be".
Career saves don't import as that. They import as Career saves, so now I suddenly have to keep track of money and reputation and stuff - which I don't have, because I have only the starting amount, nowhere near enough for my massive rockets. So either I grind for money, or start over so I'm at least grinding for everything at once.
Why would you do things that way? I can understand if they didn't have a mode that disabled the new stuff, and they just added everything. But they went through all the work of making a mode perfectly suited for importing old career saves... then didn't use it unless you made a new game ANYWAY.
I might try hacking the save file to the new/old mode, because I was THIS CLOSE.
Are hybrid hard drives worth it?
Are hybrid hard drives worth it?
Not enough cache to make it worthwhile on any of the drives I've ran into.
that never worked for me when i tried it and that was the first thing i did too
Works perfectly for me.
Phone started glitching the fuck out whilst connected to my desktop via USB.
Screen would turn off the moment I pressed the power button, and then suddenly the desktop BSOD'd after I spammed the power button on the phone a bunch.
Either I just walked into an edge-case minefield, or I got NSA'd.

You can probably just edit the amount of money in the save file by opening it up in notepad, I've done it to get more science before.

Dell U2414H. There's like no fucking bezel, it's amazing. Also has the most sane OSD I've seen on a monitor.
Bezel

would you guys say it's worth it to invest in a 1440p or 120hz monitor yet? I feel like I've asked the question so many times before, but think I'm getting somewhere now. I need a 22-24'' inch screen so it matches the size of my current one. I can't even find any 1440p monitors at that size, so think higher hz will be my choice between the two. that said, is it even worth shelling out twice as much for a 120hz monitor?
how much you paid for it
The monitor itself was $350ish
most dell monitors are starting to have smaller bezels like that
that said, the 2414h is that cheap for a reason (6bit+FRC, 96% sRGB coverage) but it's still one of the better monitors for the price point; great for multi-monitor setups where colour accuracy/spaces aren't the priority like coding and general usage

I hate it but it's the best monitor I've ever had in terms of colour, and that's even with AG coating, ignoring my T221's because those are fucking impossible to run. But fuck do I love this thing. I'm considering seeing if I can afford another down the line because it's so nice.
I have no idea how the colors on my monitors are, they're the only ones I've ever used that aren't a Dell 15" so they seem pretty ok to me
I'm just glad I have two of the same model so that I don't have to spend a bunch of time trying to color balance them
