The root canal procedure itself used a local anesthetic. The Hydrocodone was for any complications afterwords, because that's happened to me before. I only got 3 and I only used the one.

Well technically they are. Unfortunately most companies market 720p as "HD" so 768 is above it...
I have this Sony cyberhshot that says "Full HD 1080p" with a "* still images" fine print right under it. Sure the photos can be full HD or higher but the video was 480p and a very misleading sticker.

Also, I was in Edinburgh yesterday and the Cash Generator there was selling second hand monitors for £4-£10. I wish they'd had the resolutions on them, might have bought a couple if they were decent enough. But would that price even be worth the dead pixels/power cables?

I'm not sure I get Cowboy Bebop. That's not to say I didn't enjoy watching it but the episodes felt disconnected from one another and then the ending feels like it was cut and paste from a different show completely.

it's probably an aesthetic choice. i doubt the cels are like that
i think it looks better with grain than without. it probably makes it look better in motion
you could try grabbing the raw files to see if those have the grain or not. it's undoubtedly still going to be there, but it might not be as prominent

If they pulled it straight from the source film, its going to have grain. Not really much you can do about it short of digitally removing it.
Though it would be easier to tell if they weren't stills.

cels aren't like photo film, they don't inherently have [I]that[/I] much noise.
lots of BD re-releases have added grain (Ghibli releases do, for example). it's done to capture the feel of an actual 35mm live action film

I thought traditional animation just used photographed the layout of the cels to 35mm film.
varies from studio to studio but that's more than likely in this case
still though, post-processed noise is quite common in these HD re-releases. disney doesn't do it with their classics though

I would imagine it is in this case, since TV show releases tend not to get the level of attention major film releases do (though it does look better than a lot of film Bluray releases I've seen, though that might be because the original film was badly preserved in those cases and were near straight transfers).
But I don't doubt some studios add grain for effect.

You're talking graphics wise right? You would be surprised how shitty the average player of The Sims computers are. Many play on non-gaming laptops and complain constantly about how un-optimized The Sims 3 is (A game where you can achieve almost constant 60 FPS with a R7 250 on near max settings) so I'm not surprised thet went the route they did when it comes to visuals.
Gameplay wise? Looks like The Sims to me.

Hopefully when I'm in the market for a full upgrade we have more real 4k rather than 4x

It's not a true 120Hz monitor though, just a 60Hz overclockable to 120hz.
You're better off with a yamakasi catleap which is the same thing but cheaper.
or a not shoddy 1080p guaranteed 120hz monitor
