Half my USB ports either don't work or instantly crash the machine when something is plugged into them. :v:
wait you guys clean your screens?
this is a thing?
[editline]20th July 2014[/editline]
holyyyy shittt its so much cleaner and clearer under all the shit
legit haven't cleaned my screen since 2008
i have an u2711 monitor so cleaning it doesn't make a difference
i like the anti glare filter though
i just rain-x glass cleaner my monitors every now and then
i forget that other people leave splotches and marks on their screens and it mildly infuriates me to see them
[editline]20th July 2014[/editline]
also, using glass cleaner on plastic is fine. It's just alcohol.
the worst it will do to any screen is on touchscreens it will eat away the oleophobic coating and make fingerprints show up a good amount more
I have some weird cleaner called "iClean" that's made by Monster Cable :v:
The Ammonia in glass cleaners apparently can cause issues with LCDs, though at work we've used a foaming glass cleaner on literally hundreds of LCDs and haven't had a problem.
Never squash small bugs (like midges) on your screen. I learned that the hard way.
a damp paper towel is usually good enough to get my screen clean
too cheap/lazy for all these fancy cleaners
Obviosly nothing cleans like a spit shine
microfibre and water
steel wool & vinegar
aw fuck, waterfox updated and now it looks like the new shitty firefox

Weak. Kerosene and a match.

Chlorine pentafluoride and full NBC protective gear.
I just pick up the phone and say "Hey NSA, can you clean the screens the next time you come?" and they're clean the next day.
aw fuck, waterfox updated and now it looks like the new shitty firefox
Might finally pick it up then, been waiting for that.
aw fuck, waterfox updated and now it looks like the new shitty firefox
I just reinstalled the previous version.

i've been using the same theme since firefox 2, not really keen on changing anything
classic theme restorer got updated, fixed it all
Chlorine pentafluoride and full NBC protective gear.
If nobody got this, ClF5 will actually *burn* glass. As in the SiO2 will oxidize to SiF4, because ClF5 is a stronger oxidizing agent than *oxygen*. It also oxidizes ambient moisture/humidity (in large quantities, explosively), releasing hydrofluoric acid gas.
It's used in microprocessor fabrication to cleanse SiO2 off the silicon wafers. It's also used in the production of nuclear weapons (to make uranium hexafluoride), and sometimes as a rocket fuel because it is hypergolic with fucking EVERYTHING.
In other words, if you clean your screen with chlorine pentafluoride, you won't have a screen left, just a cloud of burnt hydrocarbons, chlorine gas, and caustic fluorine compounds. Which is why I recommended full Nuclear/Biological/Chemical protective gear as well.
what's the point of 10 bit anime anyways?

It has more bits.

it's the only way
Humans basically never enter S4 power state (suspend to disk), right?
But do we really go into S3 either? The brain is still processing stuff while we sleep, so it's more like we constantly stay in S0 but sometimes hit S1.

Did you try upgrading your brain firmware?
what's the point of 10 bit anime anyways?
corrupts our youth 15% more efficiently than normal anime

He's probably on brain 7. Ive I've heard brain 8 fixes a lot of these power states.

Cryonics?

next to none because the encoders are stupid
[editline]20th July 2014[/editline]
basically it's meant to make files smaller at the same quality as 8-bit. but in turn, hardware support is minimal for 10bit. no consumer grade GPU supports 10 bit video decoding, so it's both harder to decode and often even bigger than the 8bit counterparts because the encoders don't realise what it's actually meant to do

MadVR is a placebo, too
