I always delete things with shift + delete. Bypassing the recycle bin.
I just shift+delete everything.
I can't do that because I mistakenly recycle bin things very very often, a lot of them are irreplaceable project files :v:
don't think I ever empty my recycle bin, but I reinstall the OS so often it doesn't matter anyway
I've been on the same OS installation for 4 years, I've never really had the need to reformat.
I've kept up on the defrag schedule and the only viruses I've ever had were DOA Chrome hijackers that never did anything, so there was never any really.. Noticeable slowdown.
God dammit you ninja.
[editline]o[/editline]
Merge ninjas too? I might as well sudoku on the spot

My old 80GB Mac Mini G4 started running out of hard drive space about five years after I got it. I was confused because I always deleted things when I was done with them. Then I checked the trash can. 60GB of stuff.
i run ccleaner religiously enough that my recycling bin gets deleted around every few days
ccleaner is love ccleaner is life

I remember leaving a bunch of crap in the recycling bin since I thought it was a place where I can store shit

I don't think I've ever ran that on this machine.
My registry probably looks like that of a house belonging to an unsanitary hoarder...
I suck at deleting things, I always feel like I should triple back up everything regardless if it's useful or not. I've already lost files in the past.
Cleanup is a similar program but only empties recycling bin and temp files and the like. The record at work was 93 gigs cleared

My X201's battery is eligible for replacement. I just filled out a form and they're going to mail me a new OEM battery for free. I don't even need to send the old one back.

An employee at my job got his entire thinkpad replaced for free after apparently the motherboard shorted out or something. It was like three years out of warranty.

We had a client have their thinkpad replaced under warranty for dropping it and cracking the motherboard. Granted, it was still under warranty time wise, but still. That shit usually isn't covered.

I still say "see see cleaner" in my head every time
There's a tree.
Somewhere on my neighborhood's circuit.
Whenever the wind picks up a branch touches the lines and causes the breaker down the hill to open up.
But the branch never gets caught for long so the bullshit logic in the breaker closes the contacts again after a second of not sensing any kind of short.
This is getting unbearable. There's been FIVE intermittant drop-outs in the last hour.

I just flat out don't understand how anybody can even bear any other setting.
[editline]23rd July 2014[/editline]
Hell for good measure, I go into the desktop icons settings and hide the icon too
the recycle bin is an annoying concept
annoying for a certain subset of power users maybe but very useful for the average user that does not keep backups of their data

I just say and think Crap Cleaner really.

If the tree is touching the power lines, I think you can make a call to the city / power company and have them fix the problem.

Because users will probably send more texts to Canadian numbers than international ones.

It's more likely you'll use the Canadian one so they tried to make people not use it?

My friend once did this. His computer took literally 7 minutes to start from login to the desktop. With an SSD I might add.
Emptied recycle bin, and boots instantly. :v:
i keep all of my horrible secrets in the recycle bin in the hopes that perhaps one day i will be important enough for someone to search for my horrible secrets
