i have a border collie mix and i'm dogsitting a tri-color corgi.
I used to have a chocolate lab/Kentucky blue tick. She was batshit insane.
my dog is some sort of mix. every vet that sees him says something different when they guess what he is, but one did a dna test out of curiosity and found he is most likely a lab-corgi mix (one thought he was lab-sheperd dwarf) with a little bit of pit thrown in there

Chrome AFAIK changed from the Standard font rendering of GDI to DirectWrite.
It's not enabled by default on stable channel yet, but you can turn it on in [URL]chrome://flags[/URL]

I want my UI to be buttery smooth like iOS or OSX but it's a shame that iOS is so locked down and OSX's window management and multi monitor support is horrible

I mean jesus fuck, nothing like being awake for the past 48 hours with your ex on your mind after she texts you drunk out of her mind at 2am, and then passes out and her just-as-drunk friends say that shes been talking about you all night, and asked why I didn't make a move when she left for her camp
Then ofc they deleted all those messages and I told her that we needed to talk later

It's a shame that iOS is so locked down, I have an iPhone 4 and it still runs pretty smooth for such an old device, although battery is pretty shite.
Also my Nexus 5 is buttery smooth on stock android kitkat since it's not bloated with software from HTC/Samsung/whoever.

'that's how it's always been' is not a good reason to keep using something like so many dumb people seem to keep arguing. we'd be stuck in the stone ages if we applied that to everything
My mom wanted me to take a look at her friends' PC (Vostro 400 desktop), so I pick it up and bring it home. I plug it and try turning it on, though the power LED just turns orange. None of the fans are spinning, just the LED. I open it up and immediately see that the GPU fan is just drooping out at an angle. I take out the GPU and attach a VGA cable to the onboard and it happily boots up and downloads the drivers for the integrated card.
But shit, the GPU looks miserable. The fan must have got clogged with dust or something and stopped spinning. The heatsink is essentially just a holder for the fan, so when the fan stopped it must have just got hot enough to melt the fan mount.
