Is it just me, or is this guy trying way too hard when making these kind of videos?
I used to find them funnier when they were still fresh to me, but it's starting to get old considering it's all he does
COOL. The hard drive in my xbox died. I get a black screen when I try to play games and cant go back to the dashboard with it in, but everything works with it pulled out. Definitely didnt have months of playtime in forza4 and GTA5 or anything important.
I hope I can pull some of my saves off it with a transfer cable. I've only had this pos for 6 months.

It could all be so simple, if saves were stored in your OneDrive...
I had them saved to the cloud, but my gold was about to expire and i hadn't planned to renew it, I pulled them off on to my hard drive. :(
Oh wow, I never knew that my Zotac mini PC had a VESA mount.
Well, now it has a nice place on the back of my monitor.
I remember the first time I got 1MB/s on steam. I felt powerful.
I only got 800kb/s max on my connection until recently, imagine how I felt when I started pulling 3.8 down.

I went from 800KB/s to 7MB/s Down.
And from 90KB/s to 600KB/s UP.
I was literally crying when I saw the download speed.

I was just glad to have the feeling of up to date internet back after 10 years, everything feels really snappy again like it did with plain old broadband back then.
Youtube and multiple devices on the network were the killer for it a few years later on the old broadband connection and I expect something to again come along and make my new connection feel slow again.
I need a USB male to female cable, but I only want one a few inches long can't find one anywhere. My laptop has it's USB ports at the back so it's kind of annoying to use when I have a USB drive or whatever plugged into it.

There are plenty of small (5cm, 10cm) ones on eBay.

[editline]1st August 2014[/editline]
my night is about to consist of Truckfighters and flying planes
Oh man, I spent so many hours building planes in X-Plane 8. My dad got the whole global pack for my birthday. The full install was 120gb. My G4 Mac Mini had an 80gb hard drive. Fortunately I could choose to just install North America and Western Europe. That way I could practice transcontinental flights with my supersonic craft.
I wish the guy was still around. This new Nutella guy is pushing the cloud bullshit far too hard.
But they also started to open-source stuff a bit since Nutella is in action.
Massive algae bloom in western lake erie that released a bunch of toxins in my area. And boiling water just concentrates the toxins more. National guard is apparently coming in to ration water and area is declared state of emergency. I think they're way overreacting.
good VPS host? need a fairly low end VPS (1GB of memory and a single okay CPU) but decent amount of storage space and bandwidth limit. everything between 50-100GB of storage is preferred with at least 1TB bandwidth cap

OVH/RamNode
Stay away from any collorcrossing company, or any company that leases from them.
Where do you want the server? Ramnode is very good, but it's mostly US based. They have a center in NL, if that works. Their standard SSD lineup has a plan seems to fit your bill for the most part. Their premiums run on 3.3GHz chips, while everything else is 2.3GHz. OVH is also a good place to get stuff.

I'd prefer having the server in Europe, which Ramnode doesn't offer. wasn't too happy about OVH as I really don't want 4GB of memory if I want a 60GB of storage. would like to strip down the costs as much as possible, get rid of unneeded resources and focus solely on having lots of storage space and bandwidth cap

Do you mean ColoCrossing?

Afterburst currently has some great deals since it's their anniversary.
Uh, ramnode has a European location. It's in the Netherlands.
And yes I meant ColoCrossing. They oversell to shit. Your performance will always be garbage.
EDIT: And it looks like afterbursts promo has ended.

...oh
I thought the NL stood for New Zealand for some reason. suppose I'll take a better look at ramnode :v:

That would be NZ.
The standard 1 gig SSD plan seems to look like what you wanted. No idea what it's like with VAT and all that crap, but its 6.30 USD a month here if you buy in 12 month installments. Or the SSD-cached plans give you lots of disc space.
Out of curiosity, what are you planning on running?

wait... can you run a gmod server on one of those cheaper vps plans? like ~$20?
that would be pretty handy actually, never looked into these things before

I think I'll settle on the SSD-cached one with 1GB of memory. 10$ for 200GB of storage and okay specs? yes please!
[editline]2nd August 2014[/editline]
I'll only be running a webserver where I'll host my own stuff, which is why I'd rather have storage over specs
Yeaaa...
I don't blame him too much for getting it wrong. Country codes can sometimes be fucked up. Like, Austria (not Australia) is AT. Like... come on, who on earth would be able to guess that?
Quite easily, yes. I'm running a vanilla MC server on about half of a 2GB one, and the only problems I've had have been because I was doing stuff elsewhere that crashed the box.
It just takes a little setup, it's generally cheaper, and you don't get bitched at by game server providers for doing things that take up lots of disc space, or other weird things.
I can't really either.
Same with Ukraine and United Kingdom (UK. You could use GB but it doesn't matter)
Algeria is DZ. DZ! Come on! That makes NO SENSE. I know we're on the same side it's just another example.
