In what general area of Japan are you in, exactly?
Are we talking Tokyo-tourism, or something a bit more exotic?

He hasn't posted in an hour, I'm going to just assume he's tied up and unconscious in a dirty love hotel somewhere.

1920x1080 on a 5.5" screen master race...do phones count?
Yay, my ASRock H61MV-ITX Mini ITX LGA1155 Motherboard for my server arrived.
Someone hacked the company that made Finfisher, and got a bit over 40GB of stuff out of them.
And there's a torrent out for it.

800x600 classroom projectors budgetrace
Hey, if you all wanna watch this video I've been working on for a while. Here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQ9AsSfb-F4&feature=youtu.be
No metadata done, and it's processing, but there is a little skit thing I did in the beginning. Thanks for my patrons for funding my food runs so I could work on this.

1080 Projectors are so ridiculously expensive :(
-Fuckhead Post-
Kinda late on this one...
Since I'm getting from Sysadmin employment into Developing software at a new firm in a few weeks, I'm kinda worried that I would end up like Fuckhead.
I have never programmed commercially in a team before (had some very small projects here and there, alone), so everything is kinda new to me, and my Code would probably make a seasoned dev puke his eyes out.
Any tips on how to not end up like Fuckhead?

I can buy a whole new PC for that, a (nasty) car, or even one Monster HDMI cable. That's quite a bit of money...

same as a good 50" tv, i don't see a problem with it

depends on your job i guess
For something as niche as a HD projector, $1k is a bit of cash.
Avoid PHP, you just improved your code quality 10X.
Good thing I'm using Java then.
from 2005-2013 i used php exclusively
when i started lua in 2014 i really noticed how useful local variables were, and how semi-strict syntax usage is pretty useful
i fuck up everything i do in php now

A good 1080P TV costs like $500 in the states now
[editline]7th August 2014[/editline]
Assuming you don't fall for those 3D, "smart" features, and other useless gimmicks.

i can't find a single tv today that doesn't have smart features, and at least half of them have 3d
yeah there are cheaper ones but here you barely get 32" for $500 :v:
