Using steam in Danish, how do you even live?
Mine's stuck in Finnish or something, I have no idea why
Oh god I love the soldering irons at the school I got into. Weller irons, 15 seconds max to stable 390C, made in Germany, display shows current temperature live.
why does the wii u have to be region locked i want the taiko drum master game for wii u but its probably never coming to the US and won't play on my roommate's Wii U why nintendo [editline]13th August 2014[/editline]
Hot damn, I can't believe how versatile GNU/Linux systems are. I just switched out a mobo and cpu but didn't reinstall the OS and the system didn't even give a shit on next boot, this is great. I wish I wasn't stuck with Windows on my main machine.
can't you do that with windows too though I built an external windows installation for my roommate on my laptop and it works on his perfectly
changing out the mobo for me on a windows installation more often than not results in a BSOD, no matter what I do
doesn't for me between my two motherboards as long as the settings are correct (which have different chipsets Z68 and Z77), i dunno
Happened to me on my desktop.
Changing Mainboard, RAM and CPU made my PC bluescreen on boot.
Unless it was an identical chipset, mainboard swaps usually result in a bluescreen.
For me, only the CPU. I changed from i5 3570k to i7 3770k.
There are tools around that will inject chipset drivers and (most of the time) get windows booting on new hardware, i used something like that before, not sure on what it was called though. Normally i just use sysprep for moving hardware sets though.
My Oneplus One arrived [t]http://i4.minus.com/iwnaI6PsvA60t.jpg[/t]
Something inside makes me feel really good about enabling MAC filtering on the business's ISP router. I really should run bridged, but for now, knowing that every peep under the sun is no longer hanging out on the bench outside with a lappy, tablet or phone sucking up muh bandwidth makes me feel good. I'm not a stingy dude, eventually I may set up a cisco valet as a backup(amenities keep them around) for my tenants upstairs since they have their own ISP's. For now, if peeps from the street are gonna try and sell me crap, then whine about how much something goes for on ebay, they'll look it up on their own 4g. Freakin' A.
I'm scared [vid]http://a.pomf.se/bycmww.mp4[/vid] [editline]fuck[/editline] Temps aren't even close to 80C and the GPU hasn't been doing anything other than playing CS:GO every now and then.
I'm not saying the mbp is a bad purchase, I'm saying that you can think about whether you would want all those features combined into one computer instead of getting different computers for specialized uses. For people who move around a lot and need a full set wherever they go, it's a no-brainer. But for the price of a MacBook, one can get a decent media editing desktop and a tank of a business laptop, and from the perspective of someone who tried both kinds of setups, I really prefer not doing media editing on a laptop and carrying anything that would leave me stiffed if it broke in -20C weather (or anything that is heavier than it needs to be)
well this macbook pro would be my one and only computer that is actually mine. The desktop I do use isn't mine and upgrading it isn't super worth it for me if I can't use it as much as I want. it's like a shared family pc that really needs a new gpu.
lol GeForce 210 literally worse than modern onboard graphics
it is, it's actually worse than Intel HD4000 graphics and probably worse than HD3000 too.
I would kill for a laptop with Iris Pro graphics. Mostly not joking, either, I'll kill any one of you for a good laptop with proper Intel graphics. Those Linux drivers, mmm. Though they had some regressions lately, they managed to break DRI3 somehow, morons.

It'd be better if the rMBP 13 had the Iris Pro as well. I don't see it not having the 5200 tbh.
Now that i diagnosed my drive to be fucking shit, and my new drive arrived, can anyone recommend a good hdd cloning program?
I found, I found! [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/d9ZW4d.png[/t] what a nostalgic feeling. I think I bought AvP2 like three times since I loved it so much, not sure where my third copy went more importantly, cs1 anthology CD key! can't wait to get back into my very first steam account
If you were in the US I'd buy that EF1 from you in a heartbeat. I fucking loved that shit on my G3 iMac. I remember when I was, like, 12 I downloaded a nude mod for all the female models. Come to think of it, that was probably what turned me gay, actually. Still, a fantastic game that had an amazing modding community for many years.

Really, I slept over a Metal Gear Solid game being announced for PC? Damn it. That's one of those unicorns that's worth witnessing live.
Acronis.
Something a little less "Trail" ?
Clonezilla? [editline]13th August 2014[/editline] Also, the Internet is down at work today. Imagine that, a technical support company with no phones and no Internet access. :v: T-Mobile unlimited to the rescue!
damn it this would probably have been perfect if it was 15.6 inches http://www.staples.ca/en/Lenovo-59424842-Z710-Notebook-173-8GB-1TB/product_1195265_2-CA_1_20001
PRODUCT DETAILS 4th generation Intel Core i7-4710MQ processor 8GB DDR3L 1TB HD Windows 8.1 17.3" Full HD display (1920 x 1080), 16:9 widescreen JBL stereo speakers with Dolby Home Theater certification NVIDIA GeForce GT745M 2GB graphics 2 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, HDMI, VGA, 2-in-1 card reader, RJ45, headphone/mic combo jack Bluetooth 4.0, Intel 7260 WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, WiDi support, 100/1000 Ethernet
I hate 15.6", it's like bringing a brick along with you, everywhere you go. 13.3" is OK, but 11-12" range seems to be the spot for laptops for me.
Does anyone know if Nokia are planning to release some new Windows Phones this year? I want to buy either a 930 or a 1020 at the beginning of the year.
I hate 15.6", it's like bringing a brick along with you, everywhere you go. 13.3" is OK, but 11-12" range seems to be the spot for laptops for me.
I found the Acer 15.6 inch laptop I'm using as a seedbox to be an ok size, enough screen space to get stuff done and all that. The larger keyboard/number pad is also a bonus. Any smaller and it would be even harder to find one with a 1080p display, any larger is too damn big to fit in my backpack.
