This is what I told my parents and a friend over steam:
I mean I believe that something made the world because it doesn't make sense that it just happened randomly, but I don't believe in some ulterior purpose or further involvement or something or some blissful spiritual afterlife or rules that you have to follow to achieve some sort of perfect state like zen or heaven or whatever, i just want to live my life and enjoy myself but also live according my morals and be a better person in my own eyes....like all I've heard about this stuff is other people telling me that all of this shit is true but no offense, I don't really believe you. If God or whatever were to suddenly appear in front of me in some flaming tornado with lightning shooting out of it or something yeah I'll probably convert but short of something that I can see and believe, just nah.
In the past 2 years I've consciously made an effort to be more social and be a friendlier and more enjoyable person, make more friends, to work out, eat healthier, to work harder at school and be better person in general....but those were decisions made by me, for me, not because I read it in some book, or because somebody else told me to do it or like what my mom said when i told her this "it happened because i was praying for you" and some deity changed me.
Whatever
This makes me so angry at all the gullible nonsense-believing people in the fucking world.
Fucking wake up. Jesus is to the old ages as Batman was to us growing up... Something to look up to but not real.
A primordial comicbook (scripture) hero, if you will.
are you telling me batman isn't real
Yep, I'm done with it now. Moving out soon for college, more than enough money for it was given to me from grandparents on both sides of the family so I'm eternally grateful to them, and its in my name so for whatever reason my family can't fuck with it.
Got my new laptop today and I'll post pics of it and benchmarks and stuff later since I know you guys like shiny, fast things
It helps people to have something to believe in. God knows, it's helped me. The problem comes when people try to force others to believe. That's not okay. The same as its not okay to berate people over their honest religious views. So I'd appreciate you not calling me a gullible nonsense believer, thanks.
Asshole.
If the shoe fits, but I was talking about people like Polly's parents. Unless you like shoving your beliefs down people's throats too.

I'm gonna post my personal view of Religion and Stuff.
I personally don't really believe in Religion as it is told in the books (Bible, Koran, Torah, etc...), but I am very accepting of the Religions of the people around me.
If I'm visiting a religious family that prays to god before taking their meal, then so Will I.
If the person(s) I'm hanging out with can't eat food because Ramadan, then I will refrain myself to eat any food infront of that person.
etc...
I do not question the beliefs of other people that are not my own since that would be rude, and I am living in a country which has the freedom of Religious beliefs.
Since I live in Switzerland, which houses a wide variety of cultures from around the world, I get regular contact with a wide range of religions, But most people don't shove their religion down the other persons throat, so this isn't really a problem.

This is exactly why there are too many overlapping standards already.
Personally, I think that collapsible socket is rather pretty.
I ordered a laptop charger with my newegg order and it came with two packages of gain detergent. One "In wash scent booster" for laundry and an individually packaged detergent pod for a dishwasher.

problem is that pretty much everyone has paypal, and entering credit card information on other sites is often too cumbersome
i've never really had any problems with paypal, but monopoly is always bad.
this tablet is pretty sweet actually, windows 8 in its proper environment.
writing on the touchscreen is surprisingly easy i gotta say
Speaking of Surface, should I get a Surface Pro 3 instead of a laptop?
It's like $150 off because student pricing.
Paypal got my money back from the Swefox incident, so there's that.

I've never had any problems with paypal either, but I hear that the seller (or anyone receiving money) is usually the one that gets fucked over. On principal I don't keep any money in my paypal account, I just have it set to take the money out of my bank account for purchases.

The only time I have money in my account is the week between me receiving it and spending it on something stupid
so uh guys, if your parents are extremely religious, and then ask you to be straight up honest about what what you believe
don't be straight up honest about what you believe if its probably not what they want to hear

My parents have baited me with questions like that like "if you were an atheist or gay, would you open up to us about it?" And I've flat out said no, I don't trust them enough.
Made for some tough discussions, but I wasn't on the defensive with it. Thankfully, it brought about the status quo for now.
i'm on a bus trip to hungary and I am sitting next to a girl who probably could talk 25/7.

Or pull out your ears and put them in her mouth.
Also I wish Netflix would have a "fit to screen" option. Don't like having black bars both top/bottom and sides.
