AIR 240.
that's lucky as shit, but it reminds me of asking:
i currently rock a phenom ii x4 955, 6gb of random ddr3 ram and a hd6870 1gb.
since i got a job, i will be able to, in this next month, buy either a mobo + processor or a video card
i was thinking an i5-4670+mobo and the next month a 760.
would i notice that much of a difference? would i be able to max out new games? should i bother?
Just keep the GPU get the mobo and i5 and save up for a better gpu later.
Like GTX 870 or R9 285X.

it'll make a lot of difference. that CPU you have is awful
13" at 1080p is painful to look at for long periods of time if you don't have laser eyes, though. 14" strikes a good balance between light and medium weight.
If you run it on Windows, it can gain problems because only win8 itself can run dpi scaling, everything else will just look pixelated - so you go for the full res and try to upscale some stuff (like permanent zoom in chrome). It's pretty sad.
OS X handles it beatifully though, and 2560x1600 is marvelous.
im planning on keeping the gpu for a bit but im pretty sure no matter what i wont be able to afford those
a 4GB GTX 760 costs $500 here atm
[editline]15th August 2014[/editline]
i7-4770 / i5-4670 isnt worth the price difference either right
4770 is $110 more expensive
Not unless you're doing more than gaming. 4gb 760 is a waste too. 2gb is the only one worth the money
Could anyone with some expertise in watercooling help me out with a loop for a 2500k and a 780?

What do you need?
What do you need?
I'm guessing I'll need two radiators if I want to keep noise down, so a 240*120*60 and a 120*120*40, but beyond that I'm basically clueless. I don't really know what fittings tubes pumps res's ect I'll need. I don't know what to go with in regards to coolant or what order to put the parts in <.>
On the topic of "concept phones", I've been noticing a pattern where the majority Android "concepts" looks similar to the following format:

Basically you have an extremely large screen with literally no bezels on the side, and with an unproportal top and bottom bezel that's either too small, or too narrow.
Aka the mainstream artists' ideas are ugly as fuck.
[editline]15th August 2014[/editline]
And this one doesnt' even have a bezel at all

What case do you have? Order doesn't matter much as long as the res is above and right before the pump

Storm Scout 1. I can fit the 2x120 rad in the front with some slight modding and the 1x120 in the back.

Hmm. That's not an ideal case for a CPU and GPU loop. I'll work something up and PM it to you when I get back from work.

How much does a R9 290 cost in brazil?
Also unless your are doing more than just gaming then there is no use in getting the 4770k.
I myself am still using a i5 2500k at 4.6ghz and it is more than enough for my needs with my R9 290.( Apprently around 500$) So are AMD cards cheaper in Brazil in general?
Personally i am still waiting for Skylake and see if that is gonna take the cake from sandybridge in terms of overclockabillty and tempatures.

I've got about we'll say £800 to throw at this including the 780/880(maybe) so I don't think I can fit a new case in that.

Your help is appreciated though. Puting water blindly in my PC doens't seem like the best of ideas <.>
the cheapest R9 290 4GB i could find is going for $700

Got myself 100GB of drive for this film project. Going to dump a lot of the raw stuff into a folder on there and share it with everyone.
When you think of the size for specific situations, it's really reasonable. $2 for a big project for a few months. Maybe even $10 for a TB. That aint bad. This entire 70minute movie in 1080p ProRes 422 is less than a TB.
these concept photos are killing my sides
So, is it possible to share a folder on another drive? or do I HAVE to drop it into my google drive folder to sync it?
[editline]15th August 2014[/editline]
I guess I can move my entire drive to my external harddrive where I have tons of storage.
Need a good network range extender. My current one is a turd.
What's the best one for the best price for a very large house.

I'd just get a cheap/old router and a powerline kit and repeat it through that - that's what I've got.
I have verizon and they know when you're tampering with their shit so I can't tether them together without them giving us a bitch fit
Maybe you can increase the power setting on the router/modem.
God, moving my drive over is a god damn nightmare. I basically am forced to make it download my 15GB of files. Problem is it's downloading at like 1-2mbps. Verus like 60.
Is Drive running on tapes?
I ended up finding this :https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!searchin/drive/move$20folder/drive/0SCgCoNJvjM/h4RvEluOaCsJ
But unfortunately, I already fucked up my files so I can't do this.
I was thinking about water cooling solutions when I noticed a 30 gallon barrel.

It occurs to me that if you have a tank that massive you won't really need a radiator or fan because the sheer volume of treated water would dissipate the heat on its own.
On the other hand, if you develop a leak you are fucked. :v:

I had this idea for a long time as well. The surface area on the drum could still dissipate enough heat, considering the input heat. Assuming it was aluminum or something.

I'm not so sure about that.
The volume of water would give it tremendous thermal inertia. Getting it up to its equilibrium temperature (where it radiates as much as it takes in) would take quite some time, so if you only stress it for short periods you might not notice. But the equilibrium temperature might be exceptionally high, because it doesn't have a particularly good way to transfer that heat away, other than by boiling. A cylinder is a particularly poor shape for convection and radiation.
However, I did think about using an old car radiator as a fanless radiator. With that much surface area, you could dump a pretty substantial amount of heat, and if you align it parallel to the ground, you should get natural convection to provide airflow. Of course, at that point you may as well just run a coolant pipe from your PC to an outdoor radiator to avoid the inefficiencies of heatsink->indoor air->AC->outside air.
What if you were to run a pipe under the ground, like a foot at most?
