Pixelvision is my choice of Steam skin. Only irritating thing about skins overall is that they have to be updated, its something that could definitely do with workshop integration.
Remember the old old steam skins? Ice blue all day errday.
You guys do know it's easy to reskin steam right? http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2989566 I've been using this for a while.
it's like glitter on a turd

Just came back from poking at habbo.com. It's all gone. Almost all of the original rooms are gone. Both pools are gone as well. Replaced with some tiny map with a different pool. Still piles of shitty furniture contest rooms but that's not the point. The pools, man! The pools.....

All the public rooms are empty as well. There's like four or five people walking about but other than that they're all in private rooms. What the fuck happened?

Tropico 4 still worth the 5.99?
decided to take a picture of my g3 and my old padfone 2, and it's pretty clear LG did some sharpening since there are a lot of white spots around the text G3 [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/tvHzpa.png[/t] Padfone 2 [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/WoBFCO.png[/t] it's not a totally fair comparison when thinking of resolution and one camera being better than the other, but it should give a good representation of the difference between the G3's display to something else. one has a lot of white spots around the font aka sharpening, and the other does not. much more comfortable to read stuff using my old phone [editline]17th August 2014[/editline] look at the quotes, that's where the issue shines
ohh so that's what people meant.. I'll have to look out for that later.
I never really understand why you guys don't just burn archival data like movies onto BD-Rs. They're dirt cheap and they will free up significant amount of your precious HDD space.
Welp, Finally upgrading my desktop from 8 to 8.1
So this was an enormous fucking mistake. Windows forgot to migrate my user account to the new 8.1 shit. So apps and, well, everything is fucked. So I have to do a refresh and try to hack together my system again. Fucking woo...

That and I don't have a Blu-Ray writer yet

Better off finding an old computer on the side of the road and buying a few drives for it and turning it into a NAS.
Yay me.
I was thinking of doing that but is the burning speed slow or something? That and I don't have a Blu-Ray writer yet
It takes like 10-15 minutes to burn a full BD-R. A burner's not that expensive anymore, and it's certainly a worthy investment. [editline]17th August 2014[/editline]
painfully slow r/w speed, shitloads of disks, and such. Better off finding an old computer on the side of the road and buying a few drives for it and turning it into a NAS.
Buying a few hard drives is a lot more costly, and having a seperate full computer as a NAS takes much more space than the archival disks would. You burn data that you pretty much never touch onto disks, thus access speed wouldn't even matter until you actually need the files again.
Hope you do a backup next time.~
Uh. That wouldn't change jack shit. The problem was Windows didn't update the user. There's no way to do that without recreating it. I didn't lose anything, just all the time to get everything back to the way it was.
I remember the days when Best Buy had 3 packs for $50 each... this was like 5-6 years ago
I've been watching a lot of 80's and 90's aircraft documentaries on youtube lately for gmod inspiration and I think the very best part is the truly cheestastic MIDI music in some of the really cheap ones. [editline]18th August 2014[/editline] Seriously, listen to the first two minutes of this one and you'll get exactly what I mean
That really horrible bass line is what does it. Also a lot of Jeremy Clarkson's old docus.

My new PC has a BD burner but I don't have any discs to test it out with.
How much do good quality BD-Rs cost these days? My new PC has a BD burner but I don't have any discs to test it out with.
I bought 100 budget branded BD-Rs for around $45 on eBay. Never had any reading or writing issues with them at all.

One thing just occurred to me. Playstation 3 controllers have a very impressive operation range. For today I've decided to clean up our PS3 controllers which we currently have connected to our PCs using SCP Server or something like that. Yesterday evening I set up my generic Sitecom bluetooth dongle to work with a controller, and my brother has his controller connected wired. This morning I took his, and the moment I disconnected the controller it established a connection with my PC, between two concrete walls of 15-30cm and with the doors of our rooms were closed, so when I got back to my room I was greeted with this: The funny thing is, his controller hasn't made any connection with my PC the moment I set it up before. Now I remember another thing, a few years ago we went to some friends and we took said controllers with us. A few hours later our parents wanted to go home, but we forgot to switch off the console, so in the car I saw the indicator light of my controller still lit. Then I tried to blindly shut off the unit by going using the movement down button three times, X, left and X. The indicators went out. And the console was on the second floor of their three story house, with the car ~15 meters away from the unit, and a thick exterior wall between it. Edit: Just tried it from a longer distance, results were interesting. https://www.dropbox.com/s/bbjnx0yvaxbqfaa/20140818_141448.mp4
