Apparently my father tells me that I'm full of shit that standard definition channels will windowbox like so:

On widescreen TVs if the SD channel just scales the HD channel. He said he dropped the TV remote and it looks like this now. Which I know for a fact is false because it was just like that yesterday. He just didn't notice it until now. He just accidentally pressed the zoom button which just compensates for overscan (which causes the TV to flicker, but doesn't solve his issue). I told him to watch the HD channel since it will fill everything. He basically told me I was full of shit, it never did it before, and get the fuck out repeatedly despite telling him the goddamn solution repeatedly and explaining it to him. Why bother asking for my advice if you just ignore it?
Heh okay. Doesn't matter because he's not going to get it work the way he wants it to if he doesn't understand the concept of aspect ratios. :v: No skin off my nose.

My IT manager at my job is in a similar situation, although he has 8 GB installed on 32 bit. Which ordinarily would just be sort of funny if it wasn't for his PC being a slow turd because he is running Visual Studio, several web browsers, the full OFfice suite and SQL studio on 3.5 GB of RAM.
