It was happening to me too last night, shortly after your post.
Bought a router, didn't even think to check if it was a modem too...it isn't.
fuck

Its not inherently a bad thing. Its better to have them separate since they tend to be better quality and you only have to replace one not the other.

I bought a new router because I think my current one is the cause of my internet connection issues (broadband almost constantly disconnects, only getting a tenth of the internet speed i'm supposed to) The reason I think it's the router and not the line itself is because a router reset sometimes fixes it. Of course I could be completely wrong.

I had symptoms like that last year. It was poor cable quality (and the fact that I had a 10 year old modem). Moving the modem made a substantial difference in reliability though.
Thought I'd try a new router before having to deal with Sky support "Have you tried this, have you tried that. Have you tried sacrificing a virgin"
The router/modem can't really be moved and I've tried everything I could think of. It's been going on for a couple of months now and my patience is wearing thin.
how're they ruined? cloth cables?
shit in the connectors. only happened to a shitty xlr -> usb cable and a micro usb cable. both i have no need for anymore.
what we really should of done by page 3 was just ask cosmic to lock the thread and ban and for his blatant shitting so the rest of us didn't fall for it. We practically let ourselves get banned :v:
Also cloudflare quit being a massive pile of dicks and quit these 502 errors thanks.
EDITED JUST HAPPENED AGAIN

Fuck your shit I'm staying off FP for the night.
I love how everyone blames Cloudflare for fucking Facepunch going down. It's not Cloudflare. Cloudflare is the reason it doesn't go down as much as it used to.
I wish garry upgraded the server
I wish valve upgraded theirs too
if I were to be in charge of a server that would go down fairly often, it'd be fixed the next day unless something weird were to happen. I'd be too embarrassed to have a service that wouldn't be able to stay up during peak hours

Eh, Garry's too much of a target and too small to get much better than this. It's just the point where you have to deal with what you got. There are lots of DDOS solutions that don't require you to hide your IP like normal Cloudflare, just sit inbetween all of the traffic, but the service solutions (I'm certain Cloudflare will do the same on request but it'd be a very "Call us" solution) cost more than Rust probably brings in per month, and the hardware solutions are going to cost upwards of $80k.
Valve on the other hand have no excuse. Most of their downtimes aren't even external network, just their gross incompetence.
I don't understand how people tolerate the clusterfuck that is Newegg.
It's the messiest webstore I've ever laid my eyes on.
In these pictures, I go to the CPU section on two websites. Newegg.com and Komplett.no:

This is with Adblock on! :v:
Anyhow, Newegg fills the entire screen with unecessary crap and has you digging through sub-sections all the time. It's really annoying to browse the place.
Boom! Just installed an old 250 GB drive I had in another machine (think from 2007ish, XP era), and wouldn't you know it, SMART still reports everything fine.

The power on count strikes me the most. The old rig I had used to BSOD all the damn time (because DDR2 memory and a shitty AMD CPU), in contrast to the ~75 I've only had so far with my current rig in a year and a half (only two or so BSODs, but the cause was me maxing my RAM with a bunch of GRLevel shit). The former used to be powered off nightly until crashes became more abundant (AKA when I joined Steam), then it was ran mostly 24/7. The current rig I have is mostly 24/7.
My bucket of servers should be available today.
Oh boy so much to set up, so much to do, so much to see.
Can anyone recommend a 120hz or 144hz monitor? I would like the resolution to remain at ~1080p so I can push higher frames per second.
I've been looking at this

Here's a macro shot of Intel 8008 CPU pins I just took
I've always liked macro photography, especially of technology. I've seen too many close ups of flowers.
Out of all macro shots, I take technology photos the most. There are so many interesting perspectives if you think about them.

Sweet jesus, what camera do you use? Looks magnificent.
And I thought my 5MP phone can take pretty impressive shots when it sees ideal circumstances.

Canon 5D Mark III + Canon 100mm F2.8 Macro + Canon MR-14EX Ring flash
It's quite an expensive setup which I don't expect everyone to have something comparable to.

But it's quite obvious it's a very damn good setup.
This is the best I can take with my GT-I8200N from a shot up close with these lighting conditions.

An Ice block, drooling onto a blurry ocean.
idk.
It's tape on a small tape dispenser. Those are the "teeth" you cut the tape off with. The sticky stuff is glue under the tape :v:

I can't just sit here and do nothing when you guys take macro photos

B-but it's dust and water resistant!
I'd attempt a macroshot but my hands are shaky and I'm incredibly impatient.
