What's next, a stack of blue FORTRAN punched cards with win 8.1 branding? I'd shoot some flipped-lens macros if I had my camera here...
... my old employer contacted me yet again. I don't think those people get the concept of a contract that has ended.
That's not bad with a phone camera
Now to come to think about it, I forgot how good this camera is in one of the ideal conditions: [T]http://i.imgur.com/wrmFDFo.jpg[/T] Same controller on the right, when I was cleaning it.

Went through 8 hours of emergency first aid training today. Not sure if I was being trained to be able to respond to an emergency situation, or to become a God.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/nU5jHpf.jpg[/t] Here's a macro shot of Intel 8008 CPU pins I just took
Where the fuck did you get an 8008? I don't even own an 8008.
Wow that sure is a high end phone
Its the phone I'm using right now. If you are rural, please do not buy it. The reception is terrible. IF you get Qualcomms toolkit though you can modify the NVRAM and change the normally inaccessible stuff.

Anyone else rocking a Sansa Clip+ with Rockbox?
Boom! Just installed an old 250 GB drive I had in another machine (think from 2007ish, XP era), and wouldn't you know it, SMART still reports everything fine. [editline]25th August 2014[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/V8uZTu1.png[/t] The power on count strikes me the most. The old rig I had used to BSOD all the damn time (because DDR2 memory and a shitty AMD CPU), in contrast to the ~75 I've only had so far with my current rig in a year and a half (only two or so BSODs, but the cause was me maxing my RAM with a bunch of GRLevel shit). The former used to be powered off nightly until crashes became more abundant (AKA when I joined Steam), then it was ran mostly 24/7. The current rig I have is mostly 24/7.
Bit late here but my main drive is an old Western Digital 250gb drive that is around seven or even eight years old, showing no signs of immanent death either.
part 1: CALL 122 part 2: be as smart as a doctor
Calling 122 is the wrong answer everywhere. 112 for all of Europe.
I recently switched from Avast to Vipre which I think is a pretty good Antivirus , it also blocks bad websites etc.
My only experience with VIPRE is the Business version and apparently doesn't like to update (at least at my workplace). It does, but not on a regular basis. I found a few PCs that hadn't been updated since January. However, if you force an update, it updates fine. And it like to hide. There's no toolbar or entry in the programs menu. You have to manually launch it from Program Files. Whatever, not my problem anymore.
Happy Birthday, Linux!
it probably never will support anything other than AT-harddisks, as that's all I have :-(
What the fuck is that even supposed to mean?
If you've been trained properly, you can resuscitate someone for like, 6-10 minutes easily solo, until an ambulance can get to you. It's bloody ridiculous, it's literally cheating death. I mean, the person doing the resuscitation is going to feel like they've just died, and then came back, if they're alone, but if you have two people that can switch, if there's nothing else seriously wrong, you'll be fine. There's a recorded case of a wife resuscitating her husband for an hour, alone. Woman running the thing didn't mention if the man survived, though, if I remember correctly.
Except for the fact that CPR actually working is very rare. It happens, but usually doesn't save someone

Easily? I think you've missed a long history of medical revolution. And CPR is not very effective. In a lot of cases it is technically wrong and prolonging suffering. It only works because by basically attempting to give everyone who closed their eyes for a second, the chance of bringing back a few people remains. Not sure what you think "trained properly" means, the actual CPR basics can be explained in less than 30 seconds without much of an effect to the quality of care, it's just a lot of additional information a normal First Aid course carries as well. Also helps to at least have tried it once. 6-10 minutes is also ridiculous, you should expect upto 60 minutes, because chances are you won't need CPR while next to the hospital.
last time i tried flipping my lens to take a macro shot i had one of those lights you use for reading and my phone's flash constantly on on top of the thing but it'd still come out underexposed :(
Did you remember to hold the aperture lever open?
ProximityUxHost.exe is causing Windows Proximity Connection.wav to spam on my sister's laptop, any ideas?

(i.e. not that they teach you to break ribs, but you gotta use a fucking lot of force.) Could definitely end up complicating things.
Did you remember to hold the aperture lever open?
Assuming it's an electronic lens, then the aperture's resting position is fully open.
Where the fuck did you get an 8008? I don't even own an 8008.
Typo, it was a 8080. 8008 pins are way bigger and thicker.

It was pretty easy to max it out (8cm of movement I think)
do you mean setting it to bulb? if so no because holding a lens and a body and not shaking is impossible
No I mean this:
Assuming it's an electronic lens, then the aperture's resting position is fully open.
Not on my 18-55 or any Nikon DSLR lens I've seen.
