that's dumb as shit
I bought these on an online textbook site and saved over like 200 dollars.

We never even opened half of the books.

Aren't for-profit Universities greeaaaaaaaaat?
So my ISP gave me access to Global mode which is essentially a back door that lets me use Netflix, Hulu etc etc.
Which ones better. Hulu or Netflix and what's good on Netflix/Hulu right now?
Woah, seriously? I want your ISP, that's awesome. But I'd try Hulu first because Hulu's (sorta) free.

Wait until you see American universities. They purposely raise tuitions into almost $100k per year just so you can be in debt for the rest of your life. Why do they do this? Because they simply can.
Oh and filing for bankruptcy won't excuse your student loan either.

Actually that's the example I was thinking of.
I've only got 1 class that seems to actually need the book. Gotta go find it.
[editline]26th August 2014[/editline]
Yeah, my American community college is probably more expensive than all y'all's normal universities.

It actually was a Government financed trade school. I don't know if that makes it better or worse.
We never even opened half of the books.
that's why I buy them online >.>
takes like 10-15 minutes to get the right version
[editline]26th August 2014[/editline]
worst case, it isn't used and you can still study it

I'm being completely serious. A friend of mine goes to UC Berkeley for engineering, and he pays >$85,000 a year solely on tuition.
Ever since is started school again at Arizona State I haven't had to buy a single text book since the teachers just upload scans/pdfs of them.
And luckily for me I'll finish school with little to no debt.

The US Education system sure sounds nice. :v:
I got accepted to/wanted to go to Drexel for biomed. Estimated total cost at 63k. Yeah right.
snip wrong thread, sorry.
I need a new domain name for my new server.
Got any recommendations for a name? :v:
it's meant for non-professional use and TLD will be either .ch or .li

Sadly I can't really buy an indecent/vulgar domain, since the same person who manages my corporate orders/tickets for work, also manages my personal tickets and orders :v:
So I just bought gaben.li
I can feel him silently judging me from the distance.

Jesus Christ that's nearly twice as much as my 4 years plus living expenses. But I can't say I went to Berkeley.
Maybe my mom should quit bitching about me living off campus then. :v:
must suck to have to pay for education.

Nah don't worry about it. You're obviously going to be into a six figure salaried job right out of college and have that loan paid off in no time!
must suck to have to pay for education.
If you're flag is right, then, well, we kind of do too though tuition is at least capped at £9000/year.

I'm Scottish, the government pays for my uni fees.
my high school (which is hosted in a community college) pays for all my cc books + lunch.
My tuition is like, $1700 per semester for my IT course. The Cisco teacher writes textbooks for Cisco and my windows server teachers are still working in the field. Parking sucks ass though, $375 or something stupid for a year.

Don't go to universities costing that much.
In Australia, your uni fees just go onto an interest-free debt with the government. You pay it back as a percentage (between 4 and 8%) of your income tax
You don't have to pay anything unless you make at least $53k a year
