Playing the OG guildwars for a bit. It's so depressing seeing how empty it is now that everyone moved to GW2. I spent so much of my time in GW back in it's prime. :\
Guilds still exist and are very active. It's just the pub scene that's almost utterly dead. Source. I do multiple DoA runs every day. [sp]Also there's lots of bots doing everything that's easy to bot, which is all that is keeping the economy together at this point.[/sp]
The fuck honestly is wrong with Drive's program? I must be retarded since I can't tell.
Often for me it literally takes days for it to notice changes to files or new files added. So when I make changes to files I have to reboot the program.
I once changed some SSH settings on one of my servers, restarted SSH Service and closed the connection.... Had to call Datacenter at 2AM to get it running again. :/
Bit late but; If it's just a rented dedi more often than not you'll get IPMI (or alternative) but they just don't tell you, so always ask for IPMI access.

64 bit browsers can use more memory to improve performance. Whooda thunk.
but after a while even waterfox starts to freeze when changing pages
I have hardly any extensions or user scripts and waterfox is really really slow on startup.
firefox is a bit crap performance wise to be honest
Chrome's (dev build) GPU process sure has been leaking ram lately, peaks at 2gb sometimes [editline]27th August 2014[/editline] Granted I do tend to leave it open for days at a time
firefox is a bit crap performance wise to be honest
If you got a shitty pc then Yes.
I use firefox for when Chrome is loading too many YT embeds on facepunch. And if I want to edit a video on Youtube. Still slower for me.
Getting back to my 1440p + 2 x 1080p setup after dealing with a 900p laptop for a month in Japan hnnng there's so much screen space
That's how I feel every day coming home. Well, not to that level most likely. But working on 1366x768 craptops for 10 hours a day then coming home to my screens keeps them fresh.
Sysadmin, developer or helpdesk?
It's Helpdesk. A mix of on-site and over-the-phone support, but they said that I need to complete my Network+ and MCSA within 120 days of hiring(I have the A+ currently) and for their tier 2 support you have to get a CCNA and be actively progressing towards MCSE:Server Infastructure among a few quotas to meet; they pay for your certs so you'll keep educating yourself. From what I understand, you start out with helpdesk stuff, but get to work with mentors on site that are doing server installs- this would literally be a dream job. Good pay and benefits to boot, which is big in America since we bicker too much to have a universal healthcare system. Interview with the recruiter via Skype tomorrow. Have friend's boyfriend in the company who was basically as green as I am when he started and said it's worth it... Apparently they work with a lot of financial institutions so it's all mission critical type stuff.

I feel like I'm working in an Imax theatre.
Bit late but; If it's just a rented dedi more often than not you'll get IPMI (or alternative) but they just don't tell you, so always ask for IPMI access.
Hoster provides KVM Cards, either on demand, or permanently for a fee. I was interested in using HP iLO, but I couldn't get a HP Server. Just calling my 24/7 tech, gets the problem sorted quickly.
You might have a lot of screen space, but can you see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
Not even 4k can see that.
The minimum threshold for that is at least 12k [editline]28th August 2014[/editline] Also, I'm now 23. Gonna go camping for the weekend.

Content (troll?) alert (this time, it's fresh, AND domestic):
They are probably doing it because no one wants to buy Windows 8, so they have to resort to desperate measures.
One does, one doesn't.
ok makes sense, since the top one uses https and self-signed cert.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/lEkRLCW.jpg[/t] Left it in the acid for too long, oops. Have to change one minor thing, that isn't actually important, or required, so I'm making a new one tomorrow. DVI-to-VGA for scale.
