So the other day I had to print something at work. Normally I use someone else's computer but they were all busy or rendering. So I used my Y500 and the printer actually came up on the auto search thingy and printed fine first try. No drivers, no problems, no nothing. It was pretty surreal.
I don't think I've ever had any printer issues.

Speaking of "Is it fucked for everyone or just me", Youtube's history [t]https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-7kYCbQtAOlc/VABXdhhe37I/AAAAAAAAF5Q/Li359akF-a4/s0/2014-08-29_20-35-31.png[/t] It'll only load two results, one of which I watched a few days ago, the other was last night I've watched a lot more videos but they never show up and load more doesn't do anything
so they gave me a free laptop to use for this online ap course... it's got an internet filter built in somehow, I can't get around it. I've tried everything, proxies, zenmate, browsec, https://, I can't get past it. There's no process running in the task manage for it, there's no program installed in control panel. It's called iBoss, help me
I'm pretty sure iBoss is installed on the network, not on the computer. I had to deal with it myself a few years ago. that stuff will block both VPN (PPTP, OpenVPN, L2TP, and SSTP to name a few) and proxies if specified so there's not a whole lot you can do there. if it is somehow installed on the computer, you should see a process running (if not, check system processes and look for anything out of place). you could also try booting into a linux livecd to see if it's on your end or not, things shouldn't be blocked there if it is

My display drivers keep crashing. Fucking AMD.. I installed the 14.4 drivers and now I can't play WOT properly, it keeps crashing. Reinstalled them today too, complete sweep.
Anybody else having trouble with HTML5 video on the latest chrome beta? [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] The problem only seems to occur with MP4s. Ogg and WebM play fine. MP4 just kinda sits there. [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] Reverted to stable. Problem still there.
God damn. Playing The Crew, getting random stutters/freezes. CPU/GPU temp is normal and usage CPU ~65% and GPU ~60-70% fps is unlocked to 60 tho, maybe thats the case.

Or have they just ported the Driver San Francisco/Watchdogs driving over to it?
i really enjoyed this beta, shame it ends today ill be really honest im sad as shit that the level cap on the beta is 10. really felt like improving my starter ride (370z is literally my favourite car irl) and shit i'd buy this game if it wasnt fullprice :/
Car games always suck like that. Your favourite car is always some shitbox that's useless after level 3 or just useless in general Kinda like the Golf GTI in Need for Speed: Most Wanted. When you started the game it was too expensive to buy, and by the time you could afford it, there were already better, cheaper cars unlocked. Only way for it to be useful is if you won the first boss' custom one

So I was at supermarket today. There was a girl in front of me, buying just 1 cucumber and 1 carrot. I'm judging so hard right now.

I think one of my hard drives is dying. It had a couple of things on it and kept giving errors, so I tried to format it. It wouldn't format and stopped initialising. Now my PC isn't detecting it at all. [editline]30th August 2014[/editline] The BIOS doesn't even see it and changing drive bays does nothing. :<

Just managed to get (and get rid of) my first virus in a long damn time. Screw fake torrents. [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] Linux distros, I mean.

I don't know what NVIDIA did with the latest drivers but I thank god for their SLI improvements. I just went from 60+c on idle on my 670's in SLI (when not running MSI afterburner, aka on 30% fanspeed. When opening MSI afterburner it will go to about 60-70% fan speed if cards reach 60+c.) to 38c idle. I've no idea what happened but it feels so good to have a quiet PC.
Thanks to MSI's twin frozr cards I have mine basically locked to 20% fan speed even during load. They get to like 70c in most stuff but my comptuter is hard to hear. When I turn my AC off and come home from school I think my computer is off. All that time messing with fans and cooling has paid off.
Ain't no fans on my GPU. Wish I could just straight disable fan speed readout
My graphics card is passively cooled, sadly it's an old geforce 210 Can we passively cool modern graphic cards?
My graphics card is passively cooled, sadly it's an old geforce 210 Can we passively cool modern graphic cards?
Yes, it looks like there's a passive 750 Ti and 270.
I feel a passively cooled 270 either will overheat pretty quickly, or you bought way too much GPU for your needs.
I feel a passively cooled 270 either will overheat pretty quickly, or you bought way too much GPU for your needs.
Or it's not entirely passive - from the looks of it, it might just rely on good case fans pushing air through the rather substantial heatsink, and not actually work in a fully passive machine.
