I would imagine it will be fine. Its still much better than the intel graphics by a long shot.
Do note that if you haven't had a laptop with Nvidia Optimus, you will have to specify to the Nvidia driver to use the Nvidia GPU for those programs if it doesn't by itself. Otherwise everything runs on intel graphics by default.

Windows and defrag software should have an in built warning regarding SSDs by now. it's not like only the enthusiasts have SSDs now, they're getting fairly common

Defrag moved data to same chips, so the memory controller has to read the data from 1-2 chips instead of like 5-6 chips simultaneously.

Windows 8 will detect an SSD on install and won't allow you to defrag an SSD with the built in "defrag utility" (which is no longer called such). It now has an option for "optimization" instead, which I assume is a forced TRIM.

I haven't come across too many games made in the last few years outside of obvious no-effort console ports that don't support 21:9. Even older games obviously made for the master race scale pretty well.
