This is a Firewire page.
hot.
I really hope the celebrity picture leaks were through some sort of NSA-mandated backdoor in iCloud, that had a security flaw. That wouldn't be the icing on the cake, that would be the bloody cake.
I'm still curious as to how Apple is going to downplay this.
Eh, it's possible that they don't even need to downplay it. If it was an exploit in iCloud, properly, they're fucked. But if some small group of people just got close enough to the celebrities to respond to probe requests, and steal WiFi traffic, Apple is just going to sit back and blame the users.
I'm still curious as to how Apple is going to downplay this.
I wonder if the same thing will happen with Google+ auto photo back up
I wonder if the same thing will happen with Google+ auto photo back up
in theory, g+ photos can be fusked (cause they're public urls), but there's no identifying information tied to the photo if a celebrity did this was on g+ and they got fusked, they'd be discovered because of their face, not because the url was tied to their account

There is the option to either upload the original (just like how it would work with Dropbox) or downscale image resolution to 2048px on the longest side and it still keeps EXIF data/location.
thread on /r/apple said that the leaks weren't all from apple devices [editline]1st September 2014[/editline] http://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/2f4a25/do_you_think_apple_is_going_to_address_the/ck5shpb
i've checked that actually, g+ strips exif from autobackup and stores it separately
hm interesting

Boy, do I wish I did that earlier.
hm interesting
at least for location, i've taken a picture on my phone, confirmed that g+ had the location, and then downloaded it from public, and threw it on exifviewer, and there was no location
I used to do this. You totally can, there's nothing stopping you. Then I said fuck it and installed Premier. Boy, do I wish I did that earlier.
I'm still using Vegas Pro
???
All the best gamers do reps for Jesus.
hey how long do you think it will be before Stallman or someone with his mindset uses the Nudever Dam breakage to say "this is why backing your data up to proprietary stuff is bad"
I'm still using Vegas Pro
I still prefer Vegas Pro. Even though I'm much more used to Premiere Pro now and would consider myself experienced with it, I still work much faster in Vegas Pro.
I still prefer Vegas Pro. Even though I'm much more used to Premiere Pro now and would consider myself experienced with it, I still work much faster in Vegas Pro.
Isn't Premiere actually faster at rendering and stuff though? Or is it about the same...

But now I use AE for compositing and then exporting to Sony vegas / Adobe Premiere
I edit videos in paint
I also tried to use LaTeX for taking notes. Didn't turn out well. I'm not a clever person. [editline]1st September 2014[/editline] I have a pretty large history of not using the right tool for the right job.
I was guilty of this aswell. It was bothersome, but it worked. But now I use AE for compositing and then exporting to Sony vegas / Adobe Premiere
I should probably start doing this shouldn't I
The only thing I ever did right was not to use VBA in any Excel spreadsheet. [editline]1st September 2014[/editline] I just noticed something.... Why the hell does Windows Server 2012R2 have the Microsoft Touch App Store installed?

They're also coming out with a ServerRT version I heard. [editline]1st September 2014[/editline] Damn merge [editline]1st September 2014[/editline]
I can install angry birds on my server.
Is it Angry Birds Corporate? [editline]1st September 2014[/editline] I feel bad for every free image hosting site today.
Another drive died. FUCKING FUCKSHIT
they're dropping like flies
I have some files that I really do not want to lose, so I'm making another copy of them just to be sure. 2/3 are having issues and the one drive I want most is the one that's still going fine.
they're dropping like flies
And they're all Seagate, so take from this what you will.
they're flying to the sea through the gates of death
