Hey, I would do DVD if I knew the port name for a modern system.
So today in class, it was in a computer lab with a bunch of nice Dell desktops and the first assignment for this particular course was to email the prof, write some stuff in the body, download a file, compress it and attach it onto the email and send.
So the classmate beside me was having issues attaching the compressed file. He was using Internet Explorer and Outlook (the school provided email address). Like when he tried to attach the file, it just wouldn't upload.
I suggested to use Chrome or Firefox. He switched to that and it worked.
That's right, fucking Microsoft can't make Internet Explorer and Outlook to work together today.

Had a very similar experience at work yesterday. Was trying to check a customer out with a new system we built for him, and he wanted help getting office 365. We could not get the checkout to go through for the life of us on IE, but it worked on the first try for Firefox. I'm not sure Microsoft's dev teams know that Microsoft makes products besides what they're working on.
I got a package today. It was a laptop logic board.
That I ordered. In June 2013.
Where the fuck has this thing been for the last year and a half??? Did it leave Upstate NY and go on a world tour?
It was trying to live the good life in the expensive places in New York City but found it too hard so it decided to find refuge in your home.
It took Reddit 9 years and 2 months to implement HTTPS.
Better late than never, I suppose?
Reddit has been around for nine years? I never heard of it before 2011.

And it's just 128bit SSL :/
Still gonna use my 256bit SSL proxy as an addition for increased paranoid and security.

What about people listening between Reddit and the proxy???

Between Reddit and the proxy should be takes care of by Reddit's SSL.
AFAIK Basically
ME
----------------------256bit SSL Proxy---------> Server
----------------------128bit SSL Reddit--------> Server -------128bit SSL Reddit-------> Reddit

...I know, you were saying how you were paranoid about reddits 128 bit SSL, so you're proxying to your 256 bit SSL, and I was pointing out you still have that 128 bit SSL to worry about.

I'm Aware of that, but there is not much I can change on that side. Maybe I can force/demand 256bit SSL from the Server somehow.
Why does this even matter.
128 vs 256
You're way overly paranoid, I'm sure not even a single person gives half a shit what you do on reddit.

Imagine you are sharing / consuming content that certain people don't like. For example /r/thefappening
There are lawyers with bags filled with so much money, with the task of finding out who shared/consumed/saved the content in question, in order to sue them.
Thats just one example. Just as 4chan, reddit has some risky content, and as it's the case with the celeb pics, there's also CP in circulation. And the risk is just too high.

And when it comes to security/privacy, you have no idea of how far I go to preserve it.
Hell I even sent takedown requests to google for my personal info that was indexed from some sites.

I don't really want to give up my privacy just because "I'm not important".
Aso I think you are underestimating how far people with money will go.

Do i need safari to watch the apple keynote stream?
Looks like you might be able to use VLC or alternately just use this link.
it says this right on their website
http://www.apple.com/live/?cid=wwa-us-kwg-features-com
Live streaming video requires Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.
