Its reminds me of the first three iPhones, even the interface. It really seems like Apples going backwards in their design with their new devices.
Spin-Up Time 4050 ms. Is this normal? It's a WD Caviar Black 1TB
That's 4 seconds. It's not too unreasonable.
Mmm boy. Don't feel good today. Better call into work sick... :v:
B..bbb..be a buddy and license transfer.. for science..?
Don't see anything taking over my pebble any time soon..... I can literally get two weeks out of it if I need to a week under normal use. And it's simple. Those are the reason why I got it and it's the reason I won't be "upgrading" any time soon.
I'd get a Pebble if it had health stuff like a pedometer.
TOP LEL, the iWatch is hideous.
haha top lel [editline]9th September 2014[/editline] l el :)
If i'd get any smartwatch, i'd probably get the round motorola one. It just looks like an actual watch, and i like that more then all the square designs But unless i win the lottery soon it's not a pressing concern anyway

[editline]9th September 2014[/editline]
Tim Cook is such an asshat.
Whenever tim showed up, my stream broke down, and Apple told me I don't have enough privilege to access the site.
Apple Store is randomly changing languages. I have never seen it do this before.

Well this could be good. We've got a candidate to join the team I work on. Pending a funding request, of course, but since we've got a to-do list five man-years long, we should get approved. I happened to see her resume. Name looked familiar, so I flipped through the employment history. I used to intern for this person. And now I might sort-of outrank her (we'd both report to the same manager, but since I wrote half this system with my own bare hands and am the most senior non-C-level employee still employed, that gives me de facto rank). That would be weird. Also weird? The corporate culture. The place she used to be at was a family business, very... reserved, I guess. Their CEO wouldn't just print out emails to read them, but dictated responses to his secretary. It wasn't quite a suit-and-tie place but it was close. Compare to this company. We regularly blast either gangster rap or heavy metal over the stereo, we have a fridge full of beer and we once had a hot-dog-eating contest. Profanity is more common than shirts with buttons, and I know for a fact that at least a quarter of the company smokes weed regularly, including half the C-levels. So yeah. This is going to be interesting if we hire her.

Wow, the "Reachability" feature on the new iPhone 6+ is incredibly un-apple like: [thumb]http://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/display-view1-e1410298812230.jpg[/thumb]
To make one-handed usage easier on both phones, Apple has introduced a feature called “Reachability.” Double tap the TouchID button and the contents of the screen will shift downward, letting you reach the top half of your app’s contents even if you can only reach the bottom half of the phone’s actual screen. Once you’ve entered Reachability mode, you can also pull down from the top of the “window” to bring up the Notification Center. Reachability solves the problem for iOS, but it does so in a way that doesn’t feel very intuitive. First, it’s an odd gesture that sort of overlaps with an existing one (double tap the Home button without pressing to enter Reachability mode, double press the button to bring up the multitasking switcher). Second, every time you press a button in Reachability mode, the app “window” zooms back up to the top of the screen, and you have to double tap again to re-enable Reachability and press the button again. It’s an OK solution for when you need to press one button, less so when you need to tap several navigation buttons at once.
Really a hacksaw solution to their one-button problem.
I'll just put this here

Didnt windows phone have wireless charging before android?
First day running Google Glass. Already explained it to about 40 different people. Didn't expect that many people would ask about it
please dont tell me you intend to regularly wear that in public
Going to switch between that and my normal glasses. Although I'm getting new prescriptions for it, so that's probably going to make it get worn more often than my old glasses with old prescriptions
