I stopped unchecked my recent Dxtory recordings from the backup since it will hopefully be gone by next week. I also setup google drive to redownload my whole project to my working external. Now that I'll have cloud backup, I can probably use one of my 3TB externals for recording and stuff. I had two 3TB drives and just would copy stuff to both.
Nitro Pro is good for fucking with pdfs It is a little annoying though
I prefer MS Office 2013 or LibreOffice for editing PDF's. [editline]12th September 2014[/editline] So I started using all those hip and cool web frameworks, tools and such. I don't know if it makes stuff easier, or just a lot more complicated. Gulp, SASS, uglify, zepto, NodeJS, Ruby, etc... One things sure. It made me feel like the most stereotypical hipster possible today. I was sitting in a Starbucks, Drinking overpriced coffee, while doing webdev on MacBook. Help.
So I was talking with amiga with a solution for online backups. I was between Dropbox and Backblaze. Dropbox $10/month 1TB Inbuilt Sharing/Linking. Can browse files on phone, tablet, or anywhere. Pretty great client which will autoupload and autodownload Backblaze $5/month ∞TB No sharing. Client auto uploads continously, but you have to go onto the website to download a zip of your files. I just did the trial for backblaze to find out it's not really a sync program. It's one way, the client can't download it back down, so it's not nearly as convenient as Dropbox. So I'm conflicted. And there is this: :v:
What kind of upload speeds are you getting to backblaze? [editline]12th September 2014[/editline] $5/mo unlimited storage sounds like there's some sort of catch
What kind of upload speeds are you getting to backblaze? [editline]12th September 2014[/editline] $5/mo unlimited storage sounds like there's some sort of catch
I switched now to Crashplan, same price, and much better client. No catch that I know of. I'm getting normal upload speeds of about 8-9Mbps which my fastest speeds of my upload.
I hate it when printers won't let you print because one of the colours have depleted, even if you don't need it.
If I don't remember wrong it's because the printer uses the colors to mix out the black to get the correct black / gray level.
If I don't remember wrong it's because the printer uses the colors to mix out the black to get the correct black / gray level.
I'd rather have an incorrect black than no print at all.
If I need anything backed up I just put on my OVH server.
SeaTools is reporting that external as failed. It has some reallocated sectors and some sectors which were unrecovered. Do you guys know if I zero the drive completely and reformat it will it work fine? As in, fine the data is lost, but just have it avoid those sectors? I'd like to free it up to continue to be a giant scratch disk once Crashplan is loaded up.
ouch
apparently there's a new build that it may not have updated to yet way better battery life
ouch
I personally like the look of a rounded smartwatch, but I just can't imagine actual content to look good on a round one. That being said, I'll wait until after the apple watch is released and see how it impacts the smartwatch market.
personally I don't see much hype behind the smart watches. when the smartphones started to pop up, they easily replaced my watch. I don't see what a smart watch can do that a smart phone can't other than maybe looking sleek. though my ex called me a nerd for wearing a watch once, so it might just be some geek thing I suppose it has its uses, but to me it'd most likely just sit on my wrist looking cool without any useful function to me
Core M is looking pretty cool: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/intel-core-m-broadwell-benchmarks,27656.html Fanless Surface Pro with super long battery life?

It will print. Saves on ink/toner too. It just looks a tiny bit less tidy.

If UPS could hurry up with with my thinkpad already, it traveled this far in 24 hours but that last bit is going to take 4 days according to them :(

It's one of those things that I keep seeing pop out of every single damn place, but I've yet to look at it. Also, the Moto360: The roundness of the Moto 360 is going to be good for people that would otherwise wear a watch, but sometimes they might want it to do something other than display the time. Square is going to be king for content, because that's just how content works right now.

Tried to in golang, but File upload handling in Golang Aparently sucked ass, so I just sticked to PHP. Doing some refactoring and Adding features and making it more userfriendly and flexible. Currently thinking about moving it to Laravel, but I don't know if that would be worth the hassle.
I think there was a proper reason for that. Something about black also combines some color ink to improve clarity.
my printer can't even make black ink with the color cartridge that is never used
I'd rather have an incorrect black than no print at all.
See if your printer has a black and white or black only option in the printer settings. It looks awful but it doesn't use any color whatsoever.

The notifications are nice but that's only the beginning.
Air vs Ground presumably
It just arrived in Cologne, Germany which is a 2.5 hour drive from me, i still don't see why it's going to take them 4 days

Just got $2 for filling out a Nielsen survey. It's two questions about actual TV viewing, two questions about what hardware I have, four questions about my ethnicity (including two just about whether I speak Spanish or not), two questions about phones, and three other questions. No wonder TV is so shit today. They literally care more about whether I'm Hispanic than if I actually watch TV. I did fill out the contact info so maybe the followup will actually have a question about "how much TV do you watch?" (answer: 15 minutes in the past 3 years).
I think my laptop works again! the harddrive was fucked up, so I got a new one and an SSD. the SSD sits in the old slot and has the OS on it. The HDD will get a caddy and sit in the disk drive slot (as it has been used once, namely to install my OS to the SSD) I've gone back to windows 7(thank fucking god) as well now, which means no more retarded issues with programs needed for my study which were occuring on 8(.1) Also, no bloatware anymore (or drivers, which was a bit of an issue). It's so lovely to have a fresh install.

I find original youtube, twitch, etc. content much more entertaining than the crap you get on broadcast TV these days. Endless new content. Nice little saving on the TV License anyway.
