Jesus christ the bitrate 120fps 4K must need

"Hold on I need to set up a raid array to watch this movie"
[editline]15th September 2014[/editline]
I did a little bit of (probably not entirely accurate) math on wolframalpha just to get an idea of what kind of sizes we're talking about
That's a bitrate of 3GB/s uncompressed, or 21.5TB for a 2 hour movie
My technologies teacher once sent out an email before the year started saying that they had upgraded to Windows 7 on the school computers. I got into school, and it was Windows XP with a new skin.

I don't even know how to do it but I bet I could figure it out in under 30 seconds

Which would never happen, so I don't know why people throw that number around.
Even when shooting, you don't shoot uncompressed.
Oh hey, new Canon 7D mark 2 was announced. Clean HDMI out, 1080p at 60fos (fucking finally) and 10fps burst. There was also some new Canon lenses launched today too.
Being a 7D user. The 7D II is EXACTLY what I wanted. I'm so fucking happy about this, I will be getting one without a doubt.

How about just pressing F5?

spend a little more and get an a7 instead
i think spending a lot of money on aps-c is a waste of time now

Hotkeys??? for students??? are you crazy.
Also it's more so a aspect of learning and observing. "Hmmm... I need to start the slideshow. I wonder how I'll do it... Home... No, Insert? nope. DESIGN!? nope. Transitions, no, animations, no. Review? no, view?!? maybe, but for some reason I am forcing myself to not click on anything ever, so i'll never know. AddIns? possible. Acrobat?!?.
SLIDESHOW? I FUCKING WONDER WHAT THIS MENU SHOWS. I FUCKING WONDER BUT I WILL NEVER KNOW BECAUSE AS SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW I AM FORCED TO NEVER DISCOVER THINGS AND WILL NEVER CLICK ON IT TO FIND OUT."
Seriously, what is up with people not even opening menus to check options. Fucking boggles my mind. You'll never learn by staring at the screen and hoping the computer does it for you.

Not a chance in hell. For one I'm not ditching my existing lenses.
I shoot primarily sports, the 7D is the perfect spot for me as it gives you the best value sports body ever.
The A7 is only 5 FPS, I need as much as I can get.
APS-C is also an advantage for sports since it means I can just get 400mm and use it as a 500.
The video features are nice but honestly I don't give a shit since I rarely ever shoot video.
The 7D is a sports camera, through and through. The A7's damn fine camera but it's not for me, at all.
And frankly, people care too much about full frame vs APS-C. Full frame is nice to have but APS-C isn't the end of the world. It wasn't when digital was new, and it's not now.
oh i didn't know you were really invested in cameras that far
[editline]16th September 2014[/editline]
makes sense then
to me full frame is all about the low light performance, which i take advantage of a lot doing stage performance recording and night photography
Wingar told me to post this here...

Took them off recently since I'm selling my laptop soon.
My CITC teacher has SSD and SSHD mixed up.
I have a friend who's really really looking for an invite to get this phone. Does anyone know or have an invite?

It seems like a pretty damn solid phone, I'd buy it to replace my S3. But why the hell is it invite only? To avoid stuff like what happens with the Oculus Rift? (Since they don't have distributors etc)
Win 8 mail does that, but then you have to use win8 mail.
Outlook 2013 does it too.

How can you learn to fix things if they aren't broken?

Heh. Tried signing up for a site, apparently they have actual people review the account data.
Using 867-5309 as my phone number was probably a bad idea, then. As was an address of "1337 Elite Street, Midway, DC, 65536". And a name of "Anon Ymous".
They were not pleased.
Don't you just hate it when someone decides to delete all of your shit?
In other news I see this WD Green 2TB 3.5" SATA3 64MB Buffer OEM Hard Drive (WD20EZRX) for $99 which is like $20 less than the Blue version. Someone suggested the Blue but is it really worth getting the Blue over the Green? Also the naming scheme of these hard drives is somewhat confusing.

Here's a good guide. Being in the blue is good, and shit can be green. (The greens are pretty damn bad. Very slow, definitely not anything besides media storage, and the parts used to keep the costs down are inferior. By far the most common failed drive I see are greens)

How about the other colours on the colourful WD hard drive spectrum?

Should I get the Darwin Award trophy ready?
How about the other colours on the colourful WD hard drive spectrum?
Black: Honestly with their most recent drives most of what separates the Black from Blue is a longer warranty and a much higher price
Blue: Solid everyday drive
Green: Already explained
Red: Slow, reliable NAS storage
Purple: A red drive marketed differently
Last I knew the higher TB reds had abysmal failure rates.
Purples IIRC are marketed as surveillance storage drives.
