When I do have to handwrite stuff, I do like the Uniball pens but goddamn, if there's any sort of hand grease it just doesn't write. I forgot to steal the Zebra branded pen I had at work, though it felt similar to the uniball but didn't have that problem.
I barely handwrite anything, the most I ever handwrite is the engineering journal for my Cisco classes since my teacher refuses anything else. The problem is that my handwriting is horrifying and messy by default, so I always get graded poorly for it.
What iz wrong with the Samsung 840 Evo right now? I ordered one and would like to know how not to make it degrade files and speed.
Lamy Safari Fountain Pen ftw.
My dad's computer is funny. 2GB of ram = 47 second boot. 4GB (or 3.25GB usable) of ram = 1 minute 10 seconds boot time.
Who hand writes stuff anyways?
...
...me...
I much prefer hand writing. The process of the writing and the tactile feel gets my mind working. Often due to its slower nature I don't have the sense of "What the hell do I write." When you have an empty document to type into it often feels even more daunting because you exhaust your words so quickly. With writing your mind has time to think I feel.
Anyways that's my thing. I find myself filling pages with thoughts on games as I play them. I'm still playing a puzzle FPS called Ether One, and I have about 15 pages of hand written notes on it.
Who hand writes stuff anyways?
I always take notes by hand (if possible). I remember it better and it's usually faster. Also easier to draw something if you need to
Any ideas? This is driving me batshit insane.
yep it's the same here it seems, interesting
Writing more than a couple paragraphs makes my hand cramp

You had ONE job...
You told me the DNS problem would only take 2-3 hours, and now it's been 2 weeks and shit still doesen't work.
If I knew how to do this DNS ans Exchange black magic, I would do this myself.

Where do I throw my money to get this problem resolved
It's enterprise grade money. that should make it more important
Fucking newegg. Bought that 2tb WD black two days ago, now a 2tb 7200rpm Seagate goes on sale for half of what I paid.

Whatever, 5 year warranty wooo
If we are getting driverless cars then i at least want a small robot butler to drive it instead of some faceless pc in the dash

This is planes, but same principle. Also i probably wont own a plane so this is the closest i get
Going by how recent that post is, its probably a BIOS bug that hasn't been patched.
If that's the case, there really isn't much you can do except hope they release a patch.
It happened with the F20 bios that the laptop originally arrived with too which was from 2011.
we've got dozens of those at work, i could check them out and see if they have the same problem

yep it's the same here it seems, interesting
Really? That seems a bit odd. Thanks for checking, though. Out of interest, do you know if the BIOS has ever been updated on the machines? I got the same issue both on the F20 bios (dated as being from 2011) which mine arrived from eBay with and after updating to the latest from F50 bios dated 07/08/2014
I keep thinking maybe it is the PWM controller screwing up or something but if that was the case it then surely it wouldn't be happening on so many machines?

bios is from 2009, never updated myself
bios is from 2009, never updated myself
So the issue seems to be independent of bios considering I've updated mine to F50 from 07/08/2014 and it still exhibits the same thing. Maybe all 2540p's have a defective PWM controller?
Maybe they'll release something to compete with Intel on the high end

Nah its a new GPU.
Still ordering parts for people's computers at school (we get parts tax-free through school).
Our teacher heard that "a new GPU series came out" (he's out of the loop), threw an email to the store that the school's using (Jimms.fi), and they reserved a bunch of GTX970's for our class.
Like 4-5 guys switched from whatever card they were ordering, to the new cards.

I think I'm good. This is what a desktop is supposed to look like.
Been reading marvel comics on my phone ~7 hour SOT since charging and i've still got 60% battery left.
Okay, someone explain to me how I can sleep straight through two alarms (Brave New World and Light Up The Night) blaring for ten minutes, but a soft email ping at 9:10 woke me right up?

I didn't wake up to my alarm clock this morning, I woke up to my body turning the alarm clock off on full-automatic operation.
Well shit, I'm transferring a shitload of very small files from DVDs and it's mostly going at like 500KB/s because the laser needs to move to a different spot on the disc for every file. It's copying the files in alphabetical order which is totally pointless. What's to blame here? Windows Explorer, or what?

Waking up to the radio master race
Anyways since I slept through the discussion of pens:
I use a box of cheap office pens. I think it was a $10 for 100 deal. I only use them to write GM notes for my Pathfinder game, for which I use a constructed alphabet to keep my players from sneaking peeks. It's harder to do that on a computer.
Goddamnit I don't like firewalls.
I don't like zyxel.
NAT routes check each entry from top to bottom and uses the first rule that works.
The bad things is that new rules are always created on the bottom and there is no way to move them (As far as I can see).
So whenever I have to create a new entry, I have to manually recreate the entire NAT ruleset in order to make shit work.
Thanks Zyxel.

Thanks for the info.
But I'm really restricted on what I'm allowed to tell about the infrastructure.

My Seagate hard drive died, right? I had my DropBox storage on there.
Well, the application thought that a dead hard drive should mean the storage looks like this:

No old homework assignments any more. No old important documents. No photos before September 19th.
Fuck you, Dropbox.
Uh, you can restore stuff on their website though
I know. It's still stupid, though. Nothing about a dead hard drive should trigger the application to delete everything.
