I know. It's still stupid, though. Nothing about a dead hard drive should trigger the application to delete everything.
It sees an empty folder, thus it assumes you did a purge and does so accordingly. It's doing exactly what it is designed for. This is also a good time to point out that USB flash and hard drives exist for a reason and that using a cloud service like this will only spell disaster.
Oh my FUCKING GOD. My Seagate hard drive died, right? I had my DropBox storage on there. Well, the application thought that a dead hard drive should mean the storage looks like this: No old homework assignments any more. No old important documents. No photos before September 19th. Fuck you, Dropbox.
Why not use Onedrive or google drive?

At no point could it have seen an empty folder. [editline]22nd September 2014[/editline] I really do need to get a nice external hard drive though. Maybe something I can connect to outside of my home network would be nice. Too bad the GTX 970 purchase about made me broke.
Why not use Onedrive or google drive?
Or Copy? At least they give you 15GB.
Ohgod why do I suddently have to log in into steam, Reddit and my E-Mail again. Brb changing passwords.
Goddamnit I don't like firewalls. I don't like zyxel. NAT routes check each entry from top to bottom and uses the first rule that works. The bad things is that new rules are always created on the bottom and there is no way to move them (As far as I can see). So whenever I have to create a new entry, I have to manually recreate the entire NAT ruleset in order to make shit work. Thanks Zyxel.
what? i can move them fine
what? i can move them fine
How?
How?
i believe you can just drag them i just got home from work, so i can't check
Dragging did not work. I tried dragging it everywhere.
Current "accidentally shorted 2 GPIO pins on the Pi and made it reboot" count: 3
bios is from 2009, never updated myself
Out of interest, are you able to access AMT Options in the BIOS? In order to do so on mine I have to take the battery out and leave off for a couple mins then connect only AC power without battery. In the hp.com forum thread I linked earlier it said as a fix to enable ctrl-p access to AMT Settings and then enable ME (Management Engine) State through the menu accessed via ctrl-p. Unfortunately for me when I enable ctrl-p access it does not prompt me in post as it is supposed to and nothing happens when I press ctrl-p during post either.
Top tip of the day: resistors are for losers.
Top tip of the day: resistors are for losers.
This about sums up my experience with my Arduino in high school.
Houston, we have a blinking LED.

Never ever ever have a cloud storage client run in the background 24/7. Only launch it when you need to make changes.
That drive I ordered on Friday night is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Damn fast shipping, considering I went with 3-7 business day shipping.
Usb 2.0 is painfully slow
That drive I ordered on Friday night is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Damn fast shipping, considering I went with 3-7 business day shipping.
For shipments on the west coast newegg started using OnTrac instead of UPS and presumably because they're regional they work a lot faster. You normally get it in 2-3 days even if you just picked the free shipping option
Wow you mean it doesn't have to fly across the country twice to get to me from two states away? :v:
Speaking of shipping, I should get Amazon prime. It's free for students for 6 months and it comes with the usual benefits and free 2 day shipping.
Or Copy? At least they give you 15GB.
On onedrive you get 30GB for free.
Usb 2.0 is painfully slow
that's another thing i haven't experienced; usb 3.0, i don't really use usb sticks anymore though

I got nearly 1TB uploaded to Crashplan so far. Another 6 to go.
https://github.com/TheNikomo/PiMorse Well, that was fun. That was way more fun than I've been getting out of video games for a while now.
If your C++ actually finishes compiling, it's not C++
Usb 2.0 is painfully slow
Took me 7 minutes to copy a 3gb file to a flash drive from my thinkpad, took my girlfriend's macbook all of 5 seconds to copy it off. IDK if it's USB3 speeds or what, which I know my ThinkPad doesn't have, but it's rather ridiculous.
that's another thing i haven't experienced; usb 3.0, i don't really use usb sticks anymore though
I have nothing that supports usb 3 but my Toshiba external portable hard drive but my school computers do and they are fast for video editing and all that.
Is the ASUS Zenbook UX32LN a good choice for Media & Programming orientate University? I don't feel like I need the 3k screen on UX303LN, therefore I went a step down. [editline]22nd September 2014[/editline] My question would rather be, is there any faults with the Zenbooks, more specially the UX32LN one.
If you're programming, get a 14-15" laptop so your eyes don't start bleeding while having a good amount of screen space. Otherwise, zenbooks are pretty darn decent, if expensive. Depends on the price.
