If you're programming, get a 14-15" laptop so your eyes don't start bleeding while having a good amount of screen space. Otherwise, zenbooks are pretty darn decent, if expensive. Depends on the price.
I've seen a few people been using a 13.3" for Programming and it doesn't really seem to bother me. Although if I went with a 14-15", what would be a equivalent ultrabook to the UX32LN?

Although 13.3" @ 1080p is doable in Windows, it's just hard to do something as intensive on small text as programming for an extended period of time. Don't hold back on the Zenbook if it's a good price and you have keen eyes, though, 'cause it's not a bad laptop at all. Currently using a 15.6" Acer V7 and liking it, though.
God damned decisions. I think I'm going to stick with the t420 because it's what I've been looking at most and has a lot of hackintosh guides. [editline]22nd September 2014[/editline] Although if I get the x220 shipping time will piss me off because that city is 15 minutes north
Yeah, sometimes I forget you can do that. If these 2 t420's go above what I want I'll just grab the x220 and base
On onedrive you get 30GB for free.
Microsoft is pretty cool as well. I was grandfathered into the 25GB limit when everybody else was at 15GB. Now I'm at 40GB, because everyone got 15GB on top of that.
Just bought the UX32LN Zenbook, i7 4510U, 8GB, 128GB SSD. ...My wallet is really hurting right now though, but at least I got the Zenbook I've been dreaming about since they launched in 2011.
Fucking ebay and session expirations in the last 5 seconds of the auction
Fucking ebay and session expirations in the last 5 seconds of the auction
last second bidding, what a fun half minute
The only way to really win auctions reliably nowadays is to bid quite a while before on the item and crank up autobidding in the last 30 seconds, anyway.
Microsoft office is now free for students. Just give them your university email and you get free office 365 Yes this includes the terabyte of cloud storage http://blogs.office.com/2014/09/22/students-teachers-may-eligible-get-office-free/

[editline]23rd September 2014[/editline]
tfw my uni doesnt give .uni addresses
If you get any address through your school, it might work. Our university gives student.<schoolname>.fi addresses and those work. [editline]23rd September 2014[/editline] I mean, work on DreamSpark, at least. So why not here?
DreamSpark is licensed by the school, for the students. It's a bit different. I got myself 4 Windows 8 keys when I was at AMK.
DreamSpark is licensed by the school, for the students. It's a bit different. I got myself 4 Windows 8 keys when I was at AMK.
Does Dreamspark tell you how many you can get/should I get everything I can?

Holy shit now I have 2TB of storage! One from this and one from the Office 365 Business plan my college already has! BRB time to actually upload my shit. Annnndddd they only rolled out to USA, with Canada and other countries later this year. Damn it.
Sign-up for students is available in the U.S. today, and will expand worldwide later this year.
Also it doesn't seem like I can get 2TB in total...
Does Dreamspark tell you how many you can get/should I get everything I can?
Kinda on most things? Also it's not always accurate. Sometimes you can grab far more keys than it says you can. [editline]22nd September 2014[/editline] Well it's telling me my account isn't associated with this product
DreamSpark is licensed by the school, for the students. It's a bit different. I got myself 4 Windows 8 keys when I was at AMK.
They're not permanent keys though, so it's still kinda pointless in the end.
Can you explain. I have no idea what this means.
[del]NTFS is case-insensitive. Pretty much everything else that Micro-Soft never touched is. He just committed flat-out sorcery. Technomancy.[/del] [editline]e[/editline] Actually, scratch that. It is. Windows just won't because like 98% of everything else in Windows, it's for legacy purposes.
Current Windows file systems, like NTFS, are case-sensitive; that is a readme.txt and a Readme.txt can exist in the same directory. Windows disallows the user to create a second file differing only in case due to compatibility issues with older software not designed for such operation.[8]

Remember, unless you're actually in the folder directly (eg C:\Users\Nick\Pictures) you're looking at a library, which can and is multiple folders, so you can have multiple files under the same name.
2 weeks in to my school year and at least 10 people already fucked up their Macbook Airs physically or somehow fucked up their OS and lost all their files. And I'm just there using it to play Civ V during downtime.

oh yeah well I just ordered an external dvd drive
Can you explain. I have no idea what this means.
look at the filenames two files with the same name in the same directory
So I ordered a T420.
I really like the Sony Vaio laptop keyboards, did Sony essentially stop making them recently?
