Imagine having a very small data cap. All these Ads would eat up a huge chunk of it.
Thats Why I use Adblock, and ghostery. Makes loading of websites a bit faster, and a smaller amount of traffic caused.
what the fuck
how do you even get THAT many ads on a single page? infinite scrolling?
Nah, left the tab open overnight.
My company is now a Meraki partner.
This is the coolest shit since sliced bread. I'm never using cli again.
Nah, left the tab open overnight.
I wonder if that's the reason my Facebook tab's memory usage slowly crawls up to 1GB in a few days or is it because of the chat?
Intel got the socket design right. AMD got the heatsink attachment design right, talking stock heatsinks here but those bloody push-pins are the crappiest thing I have ever encountered.
All of my computers are intel now but I did an AMD APU based build for the family computer last christmas, I really miss just being able to hook a metal bracket over the plastic attachment point and rotate a lever...
I fucked up one of my heatsinks like that. The push pin wouldn't hold anymore. Fortunately it was a cheap heatsink and easy to replace but goddamn intel was were you thinking.
It's cheap, though. If it's implemented as part of the game, it's usually good enough quality to turn on if you can't get 2xMSAA running smoothly.
I'd honestly use no AA at all rather than turning to FXAA.
Phones nowadays, have very similiar specs and features, so it all comes down to personal preference.
My preference:
I need a phone that works all the time, tethering, apps that cover all my use-cases, and a simple fast browser.
My preference is one that allows me to install applications outside of the included store, I also want to be able to use custom firmware or even an entirely different OS if I so desire.

In the image above, the top half is No AA and the bottom half is FXAA. If you scroll the image all the way to the right, and look at the detailed dirt pattern, you might think that the FXAA image looks more blurry. Look closely though, what is happening is that FXAA is reducing, or smoothing, the specular aliasing on the debris on the ground.
Look at the objects on the ground being displayed, the root like features, the small rocks, with No AA they have specular aliasing as indicated by the bright white edges. With FXAA enabled on the bottom these edges are smoother, and give the perception that one could interpret the image as being more blurry. When in reality, FXAA is doing what it is meant to do, reduce specular aliasing. By removing this specular aliasing, it may make you think the image is less "sharp" because there is no aliasing.
Smoothing pixels, or reducing aliasing may give the impression that the image is "blurry", but in reality, the texture is exactly the same. The only difference is the reduction of aliasing. So we think this is what people are noticing with FXAA. We think the reduction in specular aliasing is making it appear areas are more "blurry", when in reality all it is doing is reducing the aliasing.

I'm of the opinion that post processing AA is where it's at because it meets neatly at the crossroads of visual quality and performance. SMAA is superior though. I enable it in every game I possibly can with SweetFX and put AA at either 0x or 2x.
Here's Saints Row 4 with either 0x or 2x AA, I can't remember which, and the same with SMAA and other improvements thanks to SweetFX. The difference is night and day.

I prefer the shots with FXAA here any day; otherwise it's jagged, noisy, and ugly.

Have some uncompressed pictures showing SMAA and sharpening through SweetFX. A set is no AA, B set is SMAA. I think it does well for what is virtually no drop in FPS and does a good job either alone or in tandem with traditional AA.
I don't use AA in any game with my 7950 fight me.
The quality from PS4 video sharing looks like complete garbage and the games really aren't impressive at all. I should probably have seen this coming but I'm still dissapointed in this gen's start
I'd give it a year to get some good stuff. During that time i'll have long stares at the cities from the latest Killzone. Damn good looking stuff

I remember when the jump from 6th to 7th generation happened and the difference looked like night and day. Maybe it's because I was a kid or maybe it's because I've become spoiled, but now the difference between 7th and 8th generations looks non-existent. I'm not sure I could tell the difference between a PS3 game that released this year and a PS4 game.

That's because you're conditioned to the master race
Then again it might get better. After all, both of these games were Generation 7.

It might get better but with computer hardware easily surpassing console hardware, I fear we'll never see another night-and-day jump between generations.

I don't use AA in any game with my GTX 690
Do you guys think that, with 4K around the corner and resolutions rising at seemingly exponential rates, we will see a point in the not-too-distant future where we simply won't need to have AA at all because of the PPI we will be working at?
The only thing that consoles have going for them are the things that the PC can't do. Like the Wii U controller, Kinect, or party games or whatever. That's why I think the Xbox One is a bit more interesting than the PS4. Because it's unique and could become really cool.
I run 16xSSAA on my 6870. At 1440p.

Not for some time, the smallest consumer 4K desktop display is 30.1 inch, at 140 PPI, which is not a considerable amount greater than your usual 1920x1080 21.5 display weighing in at 100PPI, which is that much of an increase considering that mobile devices like the 3200x1800 15.6 IZGO panel weighs in at 235 PPI, yet the fastest GPU available in a notebook with that is a 750m, which can't push any games at native res at a decent frame rate.
[editline]15th November 2013[/editline]
TLDR resolutions are going up but on the desktop side where the GPU power is monitor sizes are also going up.
Anyone got any idea how to hack auth keys on Windows for RFIDs?
For like a week or so I have been guessing why the fuck are my torrent speeds so low? Like, 8kb/s and so, pretty low.
i had a bandwith manager enabled on qbittorrent. on 10kb/s... oops.

I like option C :v:

Isn't that largely a texture filtering matter, though?

So someone replied to a comment of mine on YouTube, stating "No no no that comment did not deserve a response." and I go to it, the video isn't available in my country and it's refusing me to see the comment I fucking wrote? What
Turning Adblock Plus doesn't resolve it either. What the ever loving hell?

Obviously you're not using the Google+ combination thinger.
That's like asking "Why don't my chickens tap dance?" when you don't have a bloody cow.
So get a cow and whip it until it bleeds.

Just ordered this. Please say I didn't make a bad choice.
I was stunned to see it was almost half price so I had to buy it.
