It's really cool having the surface at the edge of my desk with the screen really close to me. And if anyone needs a spyder, check with you school's art department. Sometimes they have them available for student's to use and calibrate personal machines.

I know, I know. Though for some reason it's a LOT more apparent in pictures than it is in person. And I use f.lux Plus I'm not doing much colour sensitive work, so I can't justify spending that kind of money on making sure Word, Sublime, PuTTY and some Windows Server 2008R2 VMs are displayed perfectly.
Eh, they're all 1200px high and IPS. Personally, I think 3 16:10 monitors would be too wide for me. Still works great: [t]http://i.imgur.com/kofT38Y.jpg[/t]
Why would anyone ever use that much money on screens and then have shitty speakers? I know not all people care about screen and sound quality equally, but come on.
Why would anyone ever use that much money on screens and then have shitty speakers? I know not all people care about screen and sound quality equally, but come on.
I've got a very expensive setup, and I run these. Logitech S220's that I've been using for 6 years now, and never once felt like it was worth upgrading from. Paid $15 for them. I've got them wedged up behind the monitors completely out of sight and the sound quality is still very good, sounds like the sound projects directly out of the monitor. The only issue I could say is they don't go extremly loud but I've never found that an issue.
Why would anyone ever use that much money on screens and then have shitty speakers? No need to spend out on stuff I'm not going to use much.
I have a shitty pair of speakers and currently a shitty pair of headphones I have used for like, half a year now? I have another, better pair of headphones ready to be soldered on my table for atleast 2 weeks and I haven't been assed to go to the fucking basement for 5 minutes and solder it. eh. Headphones - used to them already Speakers - only use when somebody else is with me.
I like these:
In my entire life as a PC gamer I've only ever used one pair of plantronics headphones, of which I have lost. I've never been one to use headphones on the PC for some reason.
i just bought hd598 headphones and an amp for 200 pounds i hope they arrive here ok
Sennheiser HD201s I picked up for 15 € I think it was, or maybe 5 € a few years ago. Not sure. I'll likely get another Sennheiser pair after these bork.
I have a set of Monsoons for my front channels and use some Creative 5.1 thing for the rest.
[t]http://blog.logitech.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Z906_FOB_Large_72_dpi1.jpg[/t] I've got these because they offered just what I needed.
Why would anyone ever use that much money on screens and then have shitty speakers? I know not all people care about screen and sound quality equally, but come on.
The ones in the picture are Bose Companion 2 Series 2. They were a gift and they're pretty good, though if I was spending that sort of money I would have gone with those Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers. I use my ATH-M50s for music most of the time anyway. Other than that (hell, even with that), $90 actually seems a bit low - I'd definitely buy it at that price.
big speakers are the best
Indeed, Sadly mine won't realistically fit into my living room, They're big enough to require castors on the back.
welp, put my desktop up on craigslist. lets hope i get a buyer!
The way you phrased the last sentence makes it seem as if the whole computer and monitor is going for $90.
Before I saw this
The way you phrased the last sentence makes it seem as if the whole computer and monitor is going for $90.
I legit thought he was selling everything for 90 bucks. I was like WTF
Before I saw this I legit thought he was selling everything for 90 bucks. I was like WTF
changed it, monitor is sold separate.
Yeah. I just don't know if i'll be able to reach those grades or not.
If you don't get the grades for those uni's then you can go to one with lower entry requirements. Like even if you get CCD or something you could go somewhere.
I like these:
Compare these speakers to ANYTHING and you'll notice how shit they actually are. [editline]18th November 2013[/editline] I mean, they're alright for the price I guess but the mids and highs just don't sound right. And the bass is pretty boomy sounding, so the voice clarity is pretty bad too. However, I put mine in a milk crate and battery powered them. For that, they're pretty cool.
i might have built the most ingenious contraption to date
