Wait, /r/pcmasterrace got banned? How?
Basically it goes like this:
-Some guy posted a picture of his gaming rig on /r/gaming, and a mod there ,/u/thorse, said that it didn't belong there and said something along the lines of "how is this gaming-related, for all we know you use this for your taxes". (Which is ironic considering that a lot of people I know just use their consoles for Netflix and shit)
-Allegedly some guy on /r/pcmasterrace doxed Thorse and reported him to police for a bomb threat or something to make him mad.
-Said post got reported and admins banned /r/pcmasterrace
-Now people are making more derivative subreddits like /r/gloriouspcmasterrace and shitting up other subreddits in anger over the fiasco. Circlejerking levels are way past Chernobyl and Fukushima tier meltdowns and we're seeing posts like:
http://en.reddit.com/r/gloriouspcmasterrace/comments/1qxx6v/amidst_all_this_drama_dont_forget_to_preorder_the/
http://en.reddit.com/r/gloriouspcmasterrace/comments/1qxk36/probably_the_best_game_ever/
Aka turbotax and a shell tax game
The admins have hinted that the ban won't be permanent but people are riled nontheless. Aka hilarious.
/r/buildaPC, /r/gamingpc, /r/pcmasterrace were shit subs anyways. Horrible mods.
Edit: And the /r/gaming mods are just complete cunts abusing their power. If it's not a fucking meme it's not allowed.
See, it's bullshit like that that makes me avoid Reddit.
So much butthurt...

It's bullshit like that that makes me avoid Subreddits like /r/Gaming and /r/pcmasterrace instead of making broad generalizations about whole sites that is very finely grained into specific sections you can filter in and out of at will.

/r/buildapc is full of illiterates
/r/gamingpc is slow and bad
/r/pcgaming is sort of okay but not really that good
/r/gaming is terrible
/r/pcmasterrace is the only one I liked because it was a circlejerk and never tried to be anything but that, so it was hilarious.
is it necessary to type /r/ every time
the site's formatting is an atrocious offspring of old youtube comments and it just never appealed to me, regardless of content. All the content people hate it for tends to just get in the way too, but what site doesn't have its awful meme spewing dipwags
is it necessary to type /r/ every time
Yes
r/truegaming is still okay

It's annoying but it kind of helps to specify the fact that its a subreddit. It just makes reading it easier and gets rid of any ambiguity

r/PCmasterrace was always a fun subreddit to browse, the endless circlejerking was hilarious

I wouldn't think that writing "/r/" is necessary, never really wrote r/ when typing out the subreddit names, was always a thing I thought people figured out themselves
See, it's bullshit like that that makes me avoid Reddit.
Just avoid any default subreddits.
That's the best way to use reddit. Once a subreddit becomes a default one, unsubscribe from it because the moderators suddenly feel important and then ruin everything.
Huh, well, i can't say i expected any better from reddit. Anyways, does anyone want to help me figure out what I should do for my next build? So far I've got two builds to pick between, a ATX Mid build, and a Bitfenix Prodigy build. My budget is about 900 (without the i5 since i'm getting one for christmas)
Bitfenix build $1150 w/ processor, $935 w/o processor: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/10GNJN26R5JL3/
ATX Mid build, $1043 w/ processor, $828 w/o processor: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/CBFJJOFSHB32/ (no motherboard because i already have a 1155 motherboard)
Digging prodigy build more since I like SFF (though Prodigy's not a really good example of SFF). You might need RAM though.
I still can't believe /r/pcmasterrace existed
it's like, they took an ironic statement made to spite PC gamers and took it to heart, then it went downhill from there

Wow didn't know a lot of SSDs were that tiny
Honestly just cut size in half and make them even more compact

They wouldn't fit correctly in laptops then

Probably the space involved. It only needs like 2 chips.

Just noticed how small a 500GB SSD is, always thought they still occupied the entire thing.
I wonder how big (and expensive) a fully-packed SSD would be. Especially if they went back to 3.5".

Wouldn't that make an absolute killing as a tiny, fast, sturdy portable external HDD
Maybe but that's pretty much flash drive's territory.
Why, 650 dollar card they couldn't move the hdmi and display port over just a little more. Occupying both DVI's and wanted to convert the HDMI to dvi for my last monitor. Bought a super low profile HDMi to dvi and still it gets in the way.
So now I have to do either HDMI cable to Male to Female Adapter then to HDMI to dvi adapter, Or Displayport (Full size) to dvi.
Damn you amd, This card is amazing, but still.

Hows the drivers
Do they exist?

Yeah, This thing is power hungry though. Attempted a 15% overclock and it was killing my power supply.
750 watt with i7-3820 @ 4.7 and 16gb of memory 1 ssd and 1 hdd and only 5 120mm fans.
