So this morning I thought my laptop was infected with a virus, as it gave me more than 4 identical and connectable access points to my router. Scanned 6 times, nothing came up with MalwareBytes and Security Essentials. Turned out to be Access Connections that did it. Fuck paranoia.

If those fail to find something, I hit up wireshark, and record traffic for ~20min, and check if there's anything suspicious there, by checking it with virustotal (Anonymize the pcap first).
Still using dat 3 year old (I think? Lost count) Logitech G9x.
I'm still using an MX518. I refuse to replace it until it stops working.
can someone explain why happy hacker keyboards are so expensive?
Speaking of go-to brands, I feel like Logitech has become mine. Curious as to the to-go brand of you all?
Bit late, I think mine is Cooler Master. My peripherals are a mix of brands, including JVC, HP, Dell, Compaq, and Logitech. I use Cooler Master's case and fans, CPU cooler, and as well as thermal paste.
no two major components in my computer are from the same manufacturer except my side monitors lol
My desktop is a bit of a frankenputer at this point: Started as a 2006 Mac Pro Added RAM from some third-party (IIRC it's branded for an HP workstation) Added an XFX Radeon 6870 (replaced the X1900 Pro) Added a Seagate 1TB drive Added a WD Black 2TB Added a Mushkin Chronos hard drive Added a USB 3.0 card salvaged from trashed machine Added a dirt-cheap unbranded RAID card and hooked old two laptop drives up to it for temp space while I was shuffling data between drives Hooked up a Logitech sound system, Dell Ultrasharp and some dirt-cheap LG monitor Hooked up an Asus-branded GX800 mouse (I suspect it's a rebrand of something else) and a cheap Microsoft keyboard (which I really need to replace someday) Apart from the remaining Apple components (case, fans, mobo, PSU, and 75% of the RAM), the only repeated vendors are Seagate (the two laptop drives and the 1TB drive) and WD (the original 250GB drive and the 2TB game drive). Nobody else has more than a single part.
Yay, mouse finally arrived.
I'm still using an MX518. I refuse to replace it until it stops working.
I have one too and it was recently retired and lived in my closet for months, but now it has a new life playing Diablo 2 on a 2006 Mac Mini :v:

It's pretty good, even though it is kind of a downgrade from my old G9x. I just started hating how that mouse felt in my hand. It's the same mouse as this: http://sc2.stashden.com/reviews/i-rocks-m09-gaming-optical-mouse-review Certainly not as ugly. [editline]20th November 2013[/editline] I considered buying something like the Logitech G400s/5000s or even a G700s but my fingertip grip prefers the shape of this mouse.

That guy can't play Dirt3 worth a damn, you're supposed to slow down back to fourth gear entering that corner at 5:11, let the back out a bit with the handbrake and exit the corner in third gear, on the left side, in order to line up with the next turn. And he was playing with the third-person camera. And with all the assists turned on, and he still somehow managed to crash off the course.
can someone explain why happy hacker keyboards are so expensive?
Because topre
no two major components in my computer are from the same manufacturer except my side monitors lol
By and large the same deal here. The only things that are the same brand for me are two pieces by Asus and Intel. I guess you could technically count the multiple hard drives. Beyer Dynamic headphones. Some 10 dollar microphone I don't remember the brand of. Filco Keyboard (could probably beat someone to death with it without worrying about anything except cleaning the blood out of it) Logitech mouse Asus mobo Gskill memory EVGA GPU Intel SSD and processor WD hard drives Seasonic PSU Asus monitor Fractal Design case. Fuck brand loyalty. Buy what's best at the price points you want. EDIT: If that means you have 5 things from say asus, then so be it. Buying for the sake of a brand name is really stupid.
I just wanted a keyboard without anything printed on the keycaps and with mechanical switches for cheap. I found this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CKJ2EZI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3RTEBWOSE7AXE which is the closest

But i'm not really sure about blues.
Not a fan of blues personally, but to each their own. I'm not the one typing on it. You are. You be the judge. Also, try asking in the mech thread. I'd heartily recommend the Filco Majestouch series, but they are pricey. They have the letters on the front side of the keycaps. Other than that, it's just a uniform black.

The only reason I got my G500 is because the el cheapo PS2 mouse I had was starting to kick the bucket (and the G500 was like 50% off or something from a Newegg sale). That thing lasted me for like four years. And I've been using the same Dell Quietkey since... 2004?
You look me in the eye and tell me that keyboard is ugly. Go on. Do it.
It kinda is.
What an ugly piece of shit, just look at that horrible straight edges. Everyone knows that round edges are the future because iphones have them
because ogg sucks mp3 has superior quality on the filesize
I'd like to disagree with you there! all of the following files are 64kbps Spider MP3 | OGG | HEAACv2 HEAACv2 is the clear winner but MP3 just sounds like a wasteland
Anyone who bought the Yoga 2? I'm considering it, but even though it's pretty much a steal, it's far from cheap.
I find that Fiddler is nicer to use than Wireshark, looks nicer too.
Fiddler won't catch everything. I've not seen ( or have there been known sightings ) a single sample in the many I have seen that alter WinPCap.
