Isn't that basically credit cards? get out while you can
I'd call it an online credit card for those who can't manage their spending budgets. Because of the fact that you have 6 month to pay off your bill without interest, that only promotes more impulsive purchasing as it makes you not think about your bill.
Got a GTX 560 (non ti version) which has issues with one of it's fans ( makes a buzzing noise and doesn't spin fast enough). Is there anything I can do, is it worthwhile fixing or just toss it out?
They probably make aftermarket heat sinks for the 560.
Probably gonna buy a new gpu when i get money, so i can finally use 3 monitors :v:

''Usually'' is not very satisfying to be honest.

And I thought my remote controlled fan was pretty cool
My room also has remote lights. And I can change the color on the fly!
And I thought my remote controlled fan was pretty cool
It controls the fan too! But the fan is broken as hell and only works in medium, and that's slow as balls. It's so slow you have to get up and hand start it
[editline]24th November 2013[/editline]
The rest of the remotes in the house stop working if you put it on Medium with the lights on, the receiver just stops working until you do a fiddly thing nobody but me can seem to remember
Remind me to never accept a meal at pentium's house so I don't get cancer from a cup of instant ramen
Cup of cancer.

replacing the heatsink isn't usually that expensive, worth it if you can find a cheap one
Cup of cancer.
Cup of instant cancer.
You take a sip, you feel a sharp pain in your throat, your respiratory system feels like it's been set on fire, your stomach instantly dies on contact and you finally die a painful dead as your heart suddenly loses integrity.
My brother just replaced the DVI cable I plugged into his new monitor with a HDMI one because he said it looked better.

If you do plan on tossing it, toss it in a flat rate box adressed to my house. Would work pretty well for en egpu setup for my new rMbp. Other than that, clean the fan and give it a few drops of oil.

Even though the cable signal is the same and it's digital, it's possible the cable had sync problems. I've had bad DVI cables before with some color problems.

In addition, I had a benq monitor that saved its settings independently for different inputs.
It's a long shot but he could have messed around with the colour settings on DVI which are stored in a different profile than HDMI.
Okay, so I recently started looking into streaming since we're getting an internet upgrade, and I've been looking at both xSplit and Open Broadcaster.
Whats the general opinion, about those 2 programs?

Maybe he meant the looks of the cable? HDMI definitely looks more modern and is a friendlier connector.

Go with OBS.

I bought xsplit, obs was pretty terrible the last time I used it.

You should try OBS again then.
OBS is my main solution for both recording locally and streaming, as it does it better than any other program I've tried and produces files that all editing programs (that I've tried) can handle.
I never realized how many good movies that Amazon Prime Instant Video has. Seriously, if you haven't checked out the selection. Do it.

Can you position elements with the mouse now?
Can you position elements with the mouse now?
I ca drag elements around with the mouse.
and resize them, by dragging the edges. It's ~the same as the xsplit one.

xSplit is terribly resource hungry, OBS is the better program.
I bought a years xSplit license, but switched to OBS after a week because xSplit just sucks.
OBS is so much better now. Xsplit only has 1-2 features over OBS. I bought a 2 year license to Xsplit back when it was the only real option.
Xsplit is not a problem for me with resources, as I play on consoles.
I couldn't drag around elements so I dunno about that.
Let the fun begin:
